Dr. James P Figueroa

Lots of dependent drugs, no generics...pharmaceutical salesmen in lots...wait time average 3 hrs..

Dr Figueroa was an excellent Rheumatologist. I say this as a former pt & nurse. Yes, there was 'some" waiting but never hours (previous comment) & only because he took his time with you. He was instrumental in finding something no other Dr could, he was personally invested, educated you, asked questions & respected your opinions. He carried me through an extremely difficult time & provided excellent treatment always with my best interest in mind. Where ever he is, I hope he is doing well! Miss him as my Dr.

Long wait in waiting room and then in exam room

I saw Dr. Figueroa for many years and he was helpful. However, having to wait 4 to 5 hours for an appointment became ridiculous..... His staff became rude. Having a small waiting room with up to 30 people waiting hours to see him, all in pain, it became increasing unfomfortable and scary waiting to see him. Some patients are their just to get meds... some could become violent.....If he is not going to get to the office until 1:00 he should not start booking appointments at 11:00 so he's already 2 hours behind. Has no regard for other peoples time. He thinks he the only dr. to treat fibromyalgia so he thinks he can treat people anyway he pleases because no one else will treat them. Very Unprofessional....

Doctor doesn't follow up on a regular basis with patients, he is rude, unprofessional, and cares more about his payments then he does his patients. Doctor is not very compassionate, understanding nor helpful in diagnois and is explaining help issues and there treatment

The waiting time it's long some times, cause he spend long time with each patient. I was sad at first time when i did wait almost 2 hours lol, but after i saw he only calls the next patient when he really finish with the one he have . I was impressed with how he took care of me and my needs. worth every single minute i wait,I never saw a Doctor take care of a patient like he does with his...it's amazing!!!!!

Dr. Figueroa is a great physician, and on the cutting edge in terms of knowledge and treatment options for some very complex, chronic conditions. I have never had a better relationship with a doctor, or received better care. My diagnosis was confirmed, and Dr. Figueroa was able to provide me with a treatment plan that made me feel better.He also takes his time to listen to his patients.I don't understand how the other people rate him, as every waiting room conversation with other patients has confirmed my impressions.

Figueroa makes you wait hours to get in to see him then he rushes to get you out. doesnt listen to the proble. he wants to prescribe all kinds of meds because he doesnt know what the problem is.

At first, I believed his self-promotion. He spent most of the visits telling me how great he is. Privacy was violated many ways. One day I waited 5 hours to have him see a rash he created.Call back is abominable. Can become defensive and rude. Never again!
