 |  Disconnected-not in tune with patients- uncaring-reckless  |  show details
by Robert Chambers on Jun 26th, 2009

In Sept 2007 I visited this so-called doctor for rectal bleeding. He issued me a perscription for hydrochlorothiazide which triggered type 2 diabetes. Turns out that hydrochlorothiazide has a high incidence rate of triggering diabetes (google it yourself). Then he assumed ZERO responsibility for his actions and never took time to address the rectal bleeding. I could have received better care from a witch doctor. Catholic Health Care system should have weeded this knucklehead out of their system long ago. His incompetent techniques create larger health care issues than the original issue. Mathews is now seeing US Veterans. In my opinion, our nations veterans deserve health care. If your of the opinion that they do not, at least we can agree that they don't desaerve to be made sick by incompetent doctors who don't even google the side effects of the perscriptions they issue. Patients trust their doctors, it's an important facet of health care. Dr.Mathews undermines that trust. His lack of consideration for patients hurts the patients and the entire Catholic Health Care system in general. His reckless use of his perscription pad will not make up for his indifference towards his patients.
