Dr. Krcik is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon in Primary Care Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Pediatric / Adult Sports Medicine. Dr. Krcik has special training in hip arthroscopy and the surgical treatment of the skeletally immature ACL tear from Children's Hospital Boston-Harvard, the only Pediatric Sports Medicine Fellowship in the world. He has extensive experience in care of all types of athletes and has been involved in the care of athletes at levels. He has served as assistant team physician to the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also was a team physician for the Lake County Captains Single A Baseball Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. He also has experience caring for dancers as he was one of the associate physicians for the Boston Ballet. Dr. James A. Krcik is a coward. I saw him 3 times and each time he had to idea who I was. He lost my paperwork, when it was located I asked for it back to take it somewhere else, lost it again, once found he had signed and initialed it (saying it was received and reviewed) but yet he had no idea why I was there. I called and emailed a request for him to call me about my lost results. Dr. Krcik refused to call me as a patient under his direct care. When I emailed him in the livewell app, I got a respond from his staff saying "He will never call you". When I contacted the CEO to complain I was just treated like a criminal and later Dr. Krcik recommended me to another doctor, just to get me out of his hair. He falsified his appointment notes to make it seem he was more helpful than he was. Dr. Krcik wasted my time, money and allowed my prolonged pain for over 6 months. His facility in South Elgin is disorganized, the staff are self righteous and Dr. Krcik only cares about himself.

What a great doctor! Dr Krcik is a very professional and caring Person. He went above and beyond to make my husbands quadricep surgery a complete success with the minimal amount of discomfort as possible. The staff at Harvard Mercy hospital even give him rave reviews and have the utmost respect for him as a person and a surgeon. Scott, the physicians assistant to Dr. was also amazing, and really gives you the time and attention you need to understand whats going on through the entire process. What a team!! Bravo!! Much love and thank you??

Waste your time and money. He missed my meniscus tear from a MRI. I got a second opinion thank god.
