I liked Dr. Upshaw, but I was told that they no longer were associated with my Medicare Advantage plan (Blue Cross) because of a dispute, but that they hoped to work out the problems. I assumed that if they did then they would once again become a preferred provider and that the $492 I was charged up front would be returned to me. I was told that my policy had a $500 deductible so I was going to have to pay that anyway. I did not understand that the 0 cost preventive physical, as mandated by law, only applied to in network providers and that they were now out of network.

Smooth "bedside manner" with patient, but condescending attitude and arrogance precludes followup or symptom management.
