He is conservative in his care to the point of being detrimental to his patients. Without concern for quality of life or understanding of what makes a specific person "tick" he provides diagnosis without even speaking with the patient. He should not be involved in elder care.

Dr Womble and the doctors are competent enough, except when it comes to their staff and billing. They have overly sensitive women working the front desk who go into a heightened sense of defensiveness when you simply ask for information regarding a bill. Perhaps this is because you might be dealing with their underhanded and unfair or incompetent billing practices. Whichever category they fall in, you can be sure of one thing, your gonna owe a lot more when you return to their office and through no fault of your own. They may quote an upfront office visit price, but don't be surprised when you find additional charges months AFTER you have checked out (and stopped at checkout at the payment window). As a self pay individual they got caught incorrectly charging for service they were never given permission to perform and they were caught adding services to my account just so they could make more money. Now, onto the doctors. I would say they are thoughtful and do spend time with you, but I wouldn't say my sense about this practice in general is that they don't REALLY care. They are doing a JOB and this is the business of billing patients. I like a doctor that understands I know when one of my 3 kids has an infection versus a virus, a serious injury over a minor one. These are important factors because Doctors that don't value you in this way, will never be available to send a note for your kids school - you have to be seen so they can bill. These doctors will never just give you a scrip in the middle of the night - you will have to suffer with your kids through the night so you can be seen in the office. They will never just trust you to know you second child has Pink eye because the first had it last week - you still have to be seen. They will add charges to your account after you paid because they think you will just pay it and not question why. My advice is just find a better more personable group. If you do need to use these doctors, be careful to watch their billing practices like a hawk. In all, I would say for the headache with this bunch, you are better off going somewhere else.
