All of the bad reviews are 100% accurate on every review site for him. 1. He was my primary physician but I've never even SEEN him, let alone met or worked with him. 2. The wait time was over an hour. 3. I told them, when I made my next appt, that I would have to probably reschedule it. I called them to cancel and made a new appt 2 weeks later. At my next appt they told me that I had to pay a $30 no-show charge and that they had no record of me canceling. Not only that, but if I didn't pay right then that they would charge me again since they refuse to see you. (they consider that a no-show even though you are there on time and unaware of charges) 4. When you try to complain they rudely and literally tell you, "Oh well, you signed the agreement so it's not our problem. 5. They give out wrong medications with hardly any background. On my first visit, I said I was depressed so they gave me a psych prescription even though they aren't psychologists. They gave me an inhaler that doesn't work for my condition, just because they saw the word "asthma" on the sheet. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't waste your time and health on this scam artist.
I made an appt with him despite a lot of bad reviews (with specifics) thinking they were overreacting...they weren't. The wait time is beyond ridiculous. Even though I was new, I never even met dr zelch nor even seen him, they pawned me on someone else every time. They charged me a no-show fee even after I cancelled and let them know when I made the appointment I would have to cancel. And when I showed up they literally told me if I didn't pay right then that they would charge me again as a no show because I couldn't be seen. I got a new doctor at a different place before I even left the office. DO NOT SEE HIM.
Dr. Zelch is a great doctor when it comes to getting right to the point. He seems to have compassion when you are having chronic pain issue's. The clawson office is small ,almost too small. The staff is very friendly except for lisa leave your home issue's at home when you are at work lady. I also have never seen anyone wash hands wear rubber gloves while taking your blood. The wait is also way too long.
If i can find a primary care physician that my insurance approves i would never seek this doctor services. First this doctor seems lack of personal hygiene, his appearance is rugged. Only spends 5 minutes talking to me after 1-2 hour long wait.
This doctor has the worst staff you can ever find, they have the worst attitude and are ruining the office due to their horrible attitude!! Worst experience ever!! Never again going there and making the biggest mistake!! The doctor needs a wake up call THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE!!
Dr Zelch is the worst doctor on the face of the earth. He is scum.
This man is not a DR. He is very rude and not caring, 1st appt. with him in his Clawson office was ok, sent my husband to have an MRI and Stress test at the age of 35... When we went for our follow up appt. they did not even have the results after 3 weeks, Zelch then came is in the room after us waiting 2 hours to see him and was very aggravated that we didn't go to Beaumont for this testing.... Then continued to be rude so we got up and walked out! We asked for our co pay back and he refused to give it...... then his office billed our insurance for a visit we didn't receive!!!! His office is DIRTY, his staff doesn't know what they are doing and HES IN IT JUST FOR THE MONEY!!!!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM......
Patient of his for 2 years. Was very ill, told me I looked âlike crap'',and was drug seekingâ. Although I had my meds with me. Begged him to do blood work, he wouldn't. Told me to go home and ride it out.next day went to the hospital, lights sirens trama room. I was in kidney failure almost died. Please don't to this doctor. Worst dr ever! Stay away from him. He's arrogant. I also had 3 different appointments and the office was closed. No notice phone call nothing.
I was looking for a new doctor, someone that was closer to home, and was referred to Ace Medical Center. I setup an appt and the phone staff was very helpful. I came in for my initial visit and met Dr. Zelch and he seemed very nice and concerned. They did a full blood workup and everything seemed fine. I explained my situation to Dr. Zelch and was told to make a follow up visit for my medication and results from my blood work and I did just that. This is where everything went down hill. I brought in my current prescriptions, on my original visit, and assumed that they would just be transferred but that was not the case. I seen that Dr. Zelch was in the office at the time of my visit but all of a sudden I was dealing with an assistant that had no clue what I had talked about with Dr. Zelch. She was trying to send me in the complete opposite direction of my original plan that me and Dr. Zelch had talked about. After meeting with the assistant I'm now scrambling to get an appt with my original doctor and trying to figure out what happened. When it comes to changing your primary care Dr. its no easy thing to do. I had such high hopes that this was going to be my new doctor but unfortunately that doesn't look to be the case. If Dr. Zelch does happen to read this please take a look at what happened with me and my situation. My appt was 2/3/15 1:15 I would like to resolve this so please give me a call. Thanks
I have to say this man is great and ohhh so hansom love me some eye candy js but anyways he is very good at his job he orders all the test needed for my pain or illness and stays on top of it, hes a good dr, wouldnt go no where else
I love dr zelch he is wonderful (not to mention he looks like a soap opera dr) GORGEOUS JS! His office has been running great now with all his new staff, he spends time talking to me, i get in and out in no time and their on top of everything.. All together im very happy with him and the staff.
Finally a doctor who gets straight to the point of my problems, and not just sugar coat stuff!! very happy i stuck out the wait, the staff was great and the dr was worth it! Pleasantly surprised at how well the staff was able to laugh off such rude patients and keep a positive attitude. After conversing with other patients in the waiting room, i reliazed that although the wait is a issue sometimes that they keep coming back because of the actual CARE they recieve and the whole family-vibe this office has.
I have been coming here since Feb 2013 and yes sometimes i have to wait to see the doctor, but he is definetly worth the wait. He is willing to see patients who walk in, and who come late which shows he cares. The staff is friendly, especially Sarah. They are kind to me, my children and to the other patients in the office even after many verbally abusive patients that come in daily askin for pain medicines.
What kind of Dr. Schedules appointments and doesn't show up. It's even worse when he shows up but say they are not open. I was told to come back and the office was closed again two days later. The staff is just plain inconsiderate. If you can't keep a primary care schedule, how can you keep patients health a priority? Patients rely on medications. Quack doesn't start to describe this place. Oh, and be prepared to wait over an hour at least.
We apologize for your negative experience. you may have had a misunderstanding as to the time and location of your appointment. We see patients at Livonia Mondays and Thursdays, Centerline Tuesdays and Fridays, and Clawson Wednesdays and Saturdays. When notified we ensure that patients have enough medication until their next appointment. If a staff member was inconsiderate please contact us and let us know the details so we can appropriately address the situation. We are continuously working to improve our patient's experience. Please contact us if you have any other questions or concerns
I would not even call this person a doctor, he does not care about his patients only in it for the money
Unprofessional staff.. not to mention high turn over rate! Dirty office too. I have to wait for almost an hour just to see the doctor everytime. Seems like he could care less. I'm taking my money elsewhere.
Dr. Zelch is very thorough and personable. His staff on the other hand could use a couple more refresher classes on customer/patient relations. He is definitely worth the long wait if you can endure the ignorance of front office staff. He truly runs the place by himself.
We set up an appointment through Ace Medical Center. Their Office Manager Lori S. was not courteous. She set up the appointment for Dr. Zelch in a Clawson office, even though she is located in Centerline. She assured me that her office is the only office to make appointments for Clawson. The doctor did not show. After waiting 40 minutes, our potential employee was told to leave their office and call (the same number that gave us a bad appointment time) to reschedule at another time. Not happy at all.
I HAVE BEEN TO SEE DR. ZELCH A FEW TIMES NOW AND SO FAR EVERYTHING HAS BEEN GREAT, HE HAS LISTENED TO EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING AND HAS BEEN RIGHT ON TOP OF EVERYTHING! MY PAST DOCTOR SEEMED AS IF SHE COULD CARE LESS, SO I AM VERY HAPPY THUS FAR!
Never in my life have I had to wait 2-4 hours to see a doctor and be told that payment for possible services would have to be paid upfront. Then receive billing for services that weren't administered or discussed by anyone there. When you did see the doctor
