Dr. Janice Annette Givler, MD

Several people I know how experienced issues with this woman, from bowel perforations to neglect following surgery causing intestinal shut downs to her calling CPS out of spite. This woman is afraid of natural physiological birth and doesn’t care about her patients wellbeing nor does she abide by her Hippocratic oath.

Please do everything you can to avoid this woman, she is well known to be very spiteful; ignoring patients and their issues, calling CPS on them if they don’t comply with her “orders” etc.

Avoid at all costs. Her mistake almost cost me my life.

If you can ever get in to see her, Dr. Givler is wonderful. Plan ahead because it is a 4-6 month wait. She has been my doctor for 20 years and I have to switch because It is too hard to get an appointment and the appointment desk hasn't been very friendly.

I may not know your experience with Dr. Givler, but my experience with this woman has been nothing short of wonderful. With my first pregnancy not only was I high risk from the start, but I ended up with a severe blood clot at about month 6. Dr. Givler (and her terrific staff) got me into the Labor & Delivery ward at Community right away and made sure I was given the correct information and care in regards to my unborn child and my clot. I had to be induced due to hemorrhage concerns (blood thinner related) and my son was born with his cord around his neck, blue and not breathing. She took immediate action and saved our son. I see her for my second pregnancy knowing I am high risk (again) and am on blood thinners (again) for clotting concerns. She is compassionate, understanding, and completely on board with my care. I trust her with my life, and that of my unborn children.

After receiving my blood results showing I was extremely anemic due to excessive menstration and fibroids I knew I had to find a physician who could perform a hysterectomy. I found Dr. Givler online. I was able to get in within a few weeks. Everything fell into place quickly. Dr. Givler addressed all my fears, answered all my questions and removed any financial obstacles preventing me from having a better life. I'm four days out from having a partial hysterectomy. The only thing left is my ovaries. My surgery took two hours with The Davinci Robotic machine. My uterus was excessive in size causing surgery to take longer. Dr. Givler was great. I felt completely safe and cared for. I wouldn't change a thing. if finances are a concern speak to her about this and have your surgery at Saint Patricks hospital and apply for their charity program. Don't let money stop you from leading a healthy life. Dr. Givler has extensive experience with the Davinici machine. This is very important. There… are a lot of risks with surgery so experience is very important.

Dr. Givler was suggested to me by a friend- or so I thought.. Although Dr. Givler was my OB I couldn't get an appointment with her until my 7th month. I only had 2 other appointments scheduled with her (one which was cancelled since I delivered before my due date.) Luckily her nurse practitioner Nancy E. is excellent. When I did see Janice the first time was fine- a little quick. She seemed too busy to be with patients. Turns out that is her bedside manner all the time. The next and last time I saw her before I delivered was on the day I went into labor. I went in for a check up and she thought I would deliver sometime that day.She promised if I were to go to the hospital before 10 she would show up. That did not happen. Instead the on call doc delivered my daughter and it turns out it was for the best as I probably would have ended up having a c-section if she would have been there (I had a long active labor). If you need special care I hear she is the best, maybe that is why she has… such a high c-section rate- but if you just want a memorable healthy experience with caring people attending to the health of you and your baby there are probably better doctors out there...

Dr. Givler has a TERRIBLE C-section rate. She is afraid of birth. If you have any desire for a vaginal birth, AVOID HER,and unfortunately, avoid Western Montana Clinic docs, as you may end up with her as the on-call doc. I am sure she is a smart, skilled surgeon, but surgery is the last resort in birth, not the first.
