Down to earth physician. Takes time to explain information so that the patient can understand. Honest, professional recommendations.

Since Baptist has all of their information networked, doctors tend not to look at you with a new set of eyes but read what others have documented. Dr Geoghegan was direct, took time to explain his stance regarding me, but was condescending. I was well aware of the direction he was going with his opinion of my situation, which seems to be the norm when seeing doctors in the Baptist system. I was not impressed with him because he didn't tell me anything I didn't already know and the one question I asked was answered with a brief description regarding how and why I was wrong. I didn't argue with him as I thought it wasn't worth it, but I did really like his nurse Cassandra and one of the receptionists (the one without the glasses). They were very kind and understanding.

Dr. Geohagan is the first cardiologist I've seen who has actually managed to get my hypertension under control. He is excellent at explaining everything in a clear easy to understand way. He takes the time necessary to diagnose and treat properly unlike my last cardiologist who was an over-confident, arrogant man who thought he was God, and only cared about the pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Geohagan is concerned about his patients more than his paycheck, and is a rare treat in this day of Doctors who don't listen, or act put out by your questions.
