Dr. Jeffrey James Elston, MD

Dr. Elston is the best arthritis doctor in central Florida. At age 83 I am actively working a farmers market every Sunday in Longwood, Fl. I have arthritis and he has treated me for many years.

A very arrogant man did not listened to anything I had to say, cut me off when I tried to speak about my symptoms send me on my way with a whole bunch off tests for sleep studies, more blood work, xrays, etc.. to be done without even addressing the one thing I was there for an abnormal ana lab result. I would never refer anyone to this provider!!!! NASTY...

Dr Elston and team are the best. I’m thankful to have found the right Dr after 26 years. Patient, understanding & truly wants to improve your health, I can’t say enough about how Thankful I have a Dr that helps!!

I have been going to this man for a few years, and dreaded every appointment. He has tried me on many medications and I have had bad reactions to them, and I stopped taking them. Yet this fool still try's to write me prescription's for them. He does not even look at his notes to see what I am allergic to. I have noticed through the years there are less and less patients in the waiting room. He has one girl helping him and she has to do everything, I feel sorry for her as she is very nice. When I started there he had 4 women working for him. You know something is wrong when your own family Doctor and his nurse ask you what you think about him. They told me most people they send to him do not like him and will not go back. For me the final insult was when I went for my appointment and my husband went in with me. He told me I had a broken foot and made me wait 2 weeks before I saw him, but that is another story. He asked where I hurt and I held out my hand and said these two fingers and… both my big toes. He said let me ask you again where do you hurt? My husband said she is showing you where she hurts. He called his girl in and said to her a need an interpreter. Well?I am English and speak English very well. He insulted me and my husband. I called his office and told the girl, tell him I will not be coming back EVER. I do not need that idiot. I went to a surgeon for my foot and he told me I should have gone asap when I found out it was broken. Now it is taking longer to heal because the fool did not send me to one. Do not go to this man he is rude and only cares about money.He should pack it up and go away. I have many more stories about him but not enough room. If anyone want's to know more write it down and I will tell you.

This was, without a doubt or exaggeration, the worse experience with a doctor that I've ever had in my entire life. This doctor was rude, dismissive, condescending and confrontational. He didn't like any of the answers I was giving him and he made me feel like I was on some sort of interrogation or trial. He kept interrupting me and correcting me. He would get so frustrated if I didn't remember names or the exact amount of time or dates for medications. I have a complex condition and he was irritated with me because of all the history. I felt like I had to prove everything to him. I consider myself a very patient and thick-skinned individual but he had me feeling incredibly nervous and anxious with his questions and his tone. He made me take off my shoes and socks and just stood there and watched with his nurse as I struggled to comply from a very high and uncomfortable position then made me walk down the hallway. I swear I'm not even scratching the surface here. It was horrible. I… don't understand how this person has a medical license or any patients at all. NEVER going back.

I don't need my Doctor to be my friend, but I would like for him or her to be polite. This Doctor walked into the room and said nothing to me. He turned his back on me and when he did speak, he was consumed with telling me about all of his credentials and how long he has practiced. He said that I couldn't have lupus because my skin has the ability to tan! He was rude and condescending. I will not go back to him and now I have to start all over again and wait another 30 days to see a good RA Doctor.

This doctor is the worse doctor I have EVER seen! He was so rude and unprofessional that I walked out within minutes of the visit! Without hello, or any introduction he told, me there is NO correlation between the sun and Lupus! Are you kidding me, I told him to get his books out, or lets get on his computer. He continued to insist, and I got up and left that nutbag's office. Then his staff of young girls refused to return my personal information. I finally received my paperwork, and reported him to my insurance company. He had a previous patient in the waiting room that heard our argument and she joined in, and said he was a terrible doctor, and departed.

The office manager is a sweetheart, the nurse is fine; but the Dr acts like a douchbag. He was so angry and unprofessional. He made me feel bad for testing positive for something yet not presenting with common symptoms.

I m so very glad my family practice md sent me to Dr. Elston, I was scared and uncertain what was going on with me and i made a appt. The nurse made my appt for what worked for me and my work schedual i was so thankful and it was short notice .Dr Elston spent time and diagnosed (with the blood work done) and started treating me right away he let me be part of every treatment plan until i was feeling well . I thank God for Dr.Elston and his staff . I would recommend him to anyone .

DR Elston is a very rude, arrogant, conceited, impatient, condensing doctor. He does not like it when you ask him anything. He refused to tell me what is wrong with me. He made me feel like I was being untruthful because he didn't want to believe what I was telling him. He doesn't want to listen to his patients. Very horrible experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!
