Dr. Keenan and staff are awesome! Everyone was very friendly and addressed any and all questions my Husband and I had. After the first consultation he had a concise plan for us and immediately put it into action. 5 months later ...... We are pregnant. We can not recommend Dr Keenan enough. We would probably have given up if not for his help. Simply the BEST ....
Dr. Keenan and his staff provide top notch patient service. They are always friendly and take time to answer your questions. Thanks to them we are expecting our first baby in Feb 2017.
Dr. Keenan performed a challenging embryo transfer on me without lising his cool and we have twins
What a courageous thing it is to walk into an Infertility Center, to brave the unknowns of 'what ifs' that lie ahead... I can not begin to say enough wonderful things about Dr. Keenan and his entire staff. One round of ICSI IVF later, we are happily pregnant, expecting our first born in October. Lay your fears on the line and meet with Dr. Keenan to make your dreams of a family come true. He is a phenomenal doctor, specialist and person and his entire staff is kind and caring.
I would highly recommend Dr. Keenan to friends and family. Very positive experience!
This experience was a very difficult time and Dr. Keenan/staff were wonderful!
The only thing this office is concerned about is making money! They do not care or show compassion for their patients. I don't think it makes a difference how much money you spend, they are terrible.
Dr. Keenan is one of the best surgeons and endocrinologists in the area. He quickly diagnosed my main infertility issue after I had wasted a year with my former specialist who did not diagnosis my infertility problem correctly and we wasted $10,000. His entire staff is helpful. The receptionist always helped me get appointments quickly. The nurses and N.P. were all knowledgeable and kind. He has a great approach. Dr. Keenan does not jump to IVF like a lot of specialists, unless it's absolutely necessary. He really takes the time to get to know your body. Be patient and one way or another, the job will get done.
We used dr Keenan 3 times, 3 times resulting in a pregnancy within 4 months. Unfortunaly one of those pregnancies ended in a miscarriage. The staff is warm and compassionate. We found dr Keenan to be very knowledgeable, always taking time to answer any questions we had. With the last round of fertility treatments we mainly saw dr. Keenan's nurse practitioner, Autumn Galbraith. We loved her. I am no almost 12 weeks pregnant and everything looks good, so I transferred to my regular OBGYN. I would recommend dr. Keenan to anyone struggling with fertility issues.
While visiting an infertility specialist sounds like at terribly awkward situation, Dr. Keenan and his staff make it easy and comfortable. Dr. Keenan and his staff gave my husband and myself renewed hope that we could have a family, and it was exactly the type of support we needed. I felt that we got great medical advice as well as emotional encouragement. Best of all... we had very happy results within 6 months!
I high recommend Dr. Keenan and his staff; Katie, Sherry, Mary to name a few. I have used him twice, both times resulting in a pregnancy! I have nothing but positive things to say about he and his office. They have been so kind and organized in helping me over the years.
Very pleased with Dr. Keenan's office. Would highly recommend to anyone.
I received good care there. Only saw Dr Keenan twice out of 5 times. Other appointments I was seen with Assistant. They kept a close eye on me which I appreciate and good call back services. I called Dr Keenan one night at 8 o clock because I had thought the pharmacy messed up my prescription I was told to take right away. I was freaking out a little bit and he reassured me everything was normal and prescription was right. I have been there 5 times and only 1 time I waited about 45 minutes but they are normally pretty fast.
I have nothing but praises for this office. Compassionate and overall caring people
After visiting Dr. Keenan for 4 months I became pregnant. He and his staff are very understanding and easy to get in touch with. Dr. Keenan was very proactive in his approach.
My wife and I had been trying for 5 years to have a child, and had in fact been told by a doctor affiliated with an Ivy League institution that it would not be possible. While temporarily living in Knoxville, we went to Dr. Keenan for a second opinion. He took a detailed history and examination for both of us, sent me to a urologist, and found that both of us had conditions which were reparable with minor surgery. After the two surgeries, we began the in vitro process, and were successful on the first attempt. We now have a lovely newborn baby, and it's thanks to Dr. Keenan and his staff.
Dr. Keenan did unneeded procedures. He had me take drugs and artificial insemination when I did not have a problem getting pregnant. When I had my 3rd miscarriage he told me that there was nothing he could do for me and to come back when I was pregnant. I found another doctor 3 hours away and he took one look at my file that I had to pay $20.00 for (from Dr. Keenan) and had me go get a blood test. That 1 blood test told him what was wring and now I have a beautiful and healthy 7.5 month old son.
It would have been nice to have a more clear understanding of the process to get your body ready for embryo implantation. The drugs that you take, the process of getting blood work and ultra sounds done, etc. I felt a little in the dark a few times. A more clear outline would've been helpful. Also felt at times your nurse Jennifer was not as patient with my questions as she could have been. Kind of felt like I was bothering her at times.
After having dealt with infertility for the last 10 years, and having seen several specialists, I am shocked to see any negative comments in regards to Dr. Jeffrey Keenan and/or his staff. I started seeing Dr. Keenan approximately six months ago. He reviewed my past records in great detail and set up an aggressive plan of action. He was very encouraging and quite optomistic - when past doctors had all but written me off. His staff was amazing and ever so patient with my panic phone calls. I am proud to say that I am healty and pregnant...and I owe it primarily to Dr. Keenan. (I have to give credit to God too!!) I would highly recommend Dr. Keenan to ANYONE in the area who is suffering from the painful journey of infertility. Dr. Keenan won't give up on you!!! Thank You Dr. Keenan, Mari, and Jennifer!!!!
Dr. Keenan surgically removed scar tissue from my left ovary, two uterine fibroids, and a little bit of endomitriosis. I can sincerely say that as emotionally laden an issue this was for me, Dr. Keenan was very understanding and clear in his explanation of my condition, the procedure, how much recovery time it would take, etc.As it happens he also runs a fertility clinic, and I will most likely see him when I am ready to conceive.
Overall my husband and I were totally unimpressed and wished we had never gone to this doctor. His motives seemed to be geared toward IVF. He even wanted to still perform a surgical procedure on me after I found out I was pregnant because he believed the pregnancy to be non-viable. His bedside manner was very cold and heartless and I would not send my worst enemy to him. I was recommended to another doctor who took his time with us and showed a caring nature during a difficult period in our lives. Bottom line, I do not trust Dr. Jefferey Keenan and I warn everyone that I know who has difficulty getting pregnant to stay as far away from him as possible!
I was so surprised that there was one unfavorble rating on Dr. Keenan - He was far better for us than one of the other doctors on here with a good rating.
Although I did not get pregnant using embryo adoption. I hope to try again. First, Dr. Keenan was very courteous and showed empathy towards our infertility problems. I would go back to him and refer him. His nurse Jenny Garcia is awesome she answered my questions. As a new infertility patient, she was patient and would return my numerous calls. I could only speak about the staff that I dealt with. Kate Little was the first patient coordinator I dealt with. She was very nice and would return my phone calls promptly. I hate that she left the office and relocated to anothe state. But, since then Dr. Keenan had terrible patient coordinators. After Kate, he had Cathy Trumbell who was absolutely terrible to work with. When she showed up, I was a patient on the waiting list for about a year and she treated me like I was from mars and had a bit of an attitude. She may have been a nice person but I could not tell because she did not have phone or email ettiquette. She never looked at my records, so I would always have to fill her in on what's up. When Kate was there she would email me at least once a month so that I could know where we were at on the waiting list. But after she left I never recieved an email, phone call,.... Greta Logan was the patient coordinator after Cathy and she seemed as if she just did not want to deal with me on the phone. She had the same persona as Cathy and just did show any empathy and she would not return any of my phone calls. If I had a question, she would not try to find the answer she would just transfer for me off to no where and I would have to call to get answers. Lastly, Anna Roberts, I would have to call her to follow up on billing, insurance, she would not call me. She was friendly but not punctual but she was also sick with flu/cold so I could understand.I just think, when a patient comes in for any medical needs that they should be treated kindly, and the staaff should be friendly. The patient is seeking help because they are desperate to find relief or sometimes time of comfort and when you go to a doctor's office and the staff shows that they don't care that's not right and the staff should leave. A smile goes a long way to a patient. The doctor should be the only one that shows that they care. Why would a person want to work in the healthcare industry if they don't care? But, again, Dr. Keenan was great and nurse Jenny Garcia is awesome. I would recommend him. Good luck to all you who are trying to concieve.
Dr. Keenan was rude and unprofessional, raising his voice and talking over me when confronted with his staff's poor communication. I was not notified to start meds(which nearly canceled my cycle) and I was not notified by him or his staff of my 1st beta until 4 days later. I would NOT recommend this doc or the knoxville office to ANYONE!!My apologies to the embryologist, Carol, you were exceptional.
I would not recommend Dr. Keenan at all for anything. I felt very uncomfortable meeting him the first time. He made me feel horrible about past issues and made me feel I didn't DESERVE to be in his office asking for his help. It was like he was "holier than thou". After the first two visits with him, I never ever saw him sent his nurse practitioner into the room, who was very nice and very friendly by the way. The office staff was rude and cold, the nurses were nice and friendly. I decided to stop wasting my money giving it to this very arrogant man who obviously didn't want to help me and my husband AT ALL, he only hurt us.
