Dr. Rapaport is truly an expert and an amazing doctor. I had acne scar revision done and I am super happy with the results. I am so glad to have found him.
I like Dr. Rapaport. I have been a patient for the last 2 years and have seen him 3 time and always been happy with the way I was treated. He is a confident doctor with good humor
Luckily the doctor has a fairly competent staff because they are the ones who did treatments and follow ups. I saw the doctor once. I had to have something taken off my face...a nurse or tech or PA did it, never saw him again. I also had to have a basel cell carcinoma taken off my ankle. Another doctor who comes to the office removed it. I never saw him or Dr Rappaport after that...not for removal of stitches, not for a follow up on an infection that developed, not for stitches that were left in and caused other problems before being removed by one of his assistants. Every procedure I've had there , I've seen him for the consult, and then never again. I will not be returning
I am happy I chose Dr. Rapaport. Very good doctor and I believe a very compassionate human being. Took care of sever rosacea issues with me son's face.
The Doctor and PA are great but the front desk staff is extremly unprofessional, I will be looking for a new Dermatologist.
This place should be shut down. They are using some loophole in the law to have non-doctors give treatments to save money. I was Misdiagnosed twice. Go elsewhere.
Made an appt with Dr. Rapaport, never got to see him, only nurse practitioner . Office is a nightmare, never return calls regarding billing/insurance. STAY AWAY and avoid the aggravation
I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Rapaport and his nurse. Did not get her name. Perhaps the office should have staff wear some sort of a name tag.
I've seen Dr. Rapaport multiple times and he is simply great and caring doctor.
I made the appointment with Lisa DeSiato in Dr. Rapaport's office in Old Bridge as I preferred to be seen by someone of the same gender. She is curteous, knowledgeable with great bedside manner. She diagnosed my skin condition, wrote the prescription and I was on my way. I highly recommend her.
I had cellulaze done and was not satisfied with the results. Dr Rappaport assured me that an indentation at the side of my thigh would be removed and that was not the case. I still have it. In addition, I have all the scars from the incisions for the cellulaze wand, although the thigh did get smoother, I now have dark marks to show. He tried to bleach them but it did not work. I am not at all satisfied as I got rid of one problem and now have a more permanent one... scar marks! If you dont heal without scars dont see him.
I don't know who is more rude...the staff or the doctor. Stay away. Stay far far away unless you have a desire to be treated like garbage.
I saw Dr. Rapaport twice to get some moles removed from my back. I have a history of keloid scars and I wass worried about scars after mole removal surgery and I wanted to see someone very experienced like Dr. Rapaport. He was very gentle and did an great job and I healed almost scar free as compared with my previous procedures. Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism!
Went to the Highland Park location today and never saw the doctor. I had a 12:00 appointment and I walked in to a cramped waiting room stuffed with people a few minutes before 12:00. I waited in that room until a couple of minutes before 1pm when I just had to leave to get back to work. I had come to work a half hour early that day so I should, I thought, easily make up for the extra time traveling to and being at the doctor's office but that wasn't the case. If they are running so far behind they should notify people or at the very least tell me when I arrive. I know you always have to wait a bit at the doctor's office but I was still at least 20 minutes away from getting called in when I cancelled the appointment. I don't know who but doctors get away with running businesses like this.
Dr. Rapaport is an excellent doctor who is knowledgeable, curteous and with very pleasant bedside manners. Never lets you feel intimidated and encourages questions from the patient. I highly recommend him.
Had been looking for a dermatologist since moving from the midwest. Just had my initial visit with Dr. Rapaport. Very intelligent doctor and quick with the diagnosis. Really liked the guy and will definitely recommend him.
I was satisfied with my visit with Dr. Rapaport. Great doctor! Really smart! Really talented! Super nice! He really seems brilliant. He has that quirkiness that brilliant people have. I would use him again for any skin issues.
I was referred to Dr. Rapaport by a friend and saw him several times over the past 12 months. I came in with a deep facial scar and immediately during the first visit he gave me tremendous hope for recovery. He explained options and developed a plan of care. The results were positive after each treatment. Complements by friends and family helped me regain my confidence and return to a more normal life. Iâm very grateful to be his patient not just for his medical skills but also for his caring heart. The office staff is friendly and very professional. The office is clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend Dr R. especially for a complicated condition.
Dr. Rapaport diagnosed in couple of seconds that my son had ringworm on his leg. It was misdiagnosed by the pediatrician as eczema and during a period of about a year became 4x the size. Dr. Rapaport's prescribed the medication and ringworm was gone for good within a week and we applied the cream for an additional week as directed. Skin completely healed and my son is a happy camper once again. Best use of $30 copay I ever spent. Thanks Dr. Rapaport
I brought my daughter to Rapaport for skin related issues. He is a kind man and great doctor. Never made us feel uneasy and answered all our questions. I would recommend him to all my friends and family.
I had an appointment but had to wait over an hour. I originally made an appointment with the doctor but the assistant showed up and I wasn't aware of this. The assistant didn't help me at all. My visit was just a waste of money and time. I would not recommend to anyone.
Unless you are rich or famous, you will not see Dr. Rappaport for anything other than an expensive procedure. He has gone through at least 4 Physician Assistants in the past year, working on #5. The PA's are nice enough, one had to call him in for a consult, which is how I experienced his snobbishness. I asked a standard question which he totally ignored (after giving me an incredulous look), then left the room. One other experience, he barged into my exam room without knocking to berate the PA I was with. Meanwhile, I had no shirt on. No apologies given. Never again.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rappaport for many, many years, approx. 25 and this last visit I was so very disappointed. He had a distant, annoyed attitude, and rushed through the visit, spending 5 minutes if that with me then gave me a script and just left. Not even a goodbye or if I had any questions. I seriously feel he didn't even listen to what I had to say. He has changed so very much. I was so very disappointed and I will not be going back to him. And to get an appointment to see him was very hard. The receptionist kept trying to get me to see the PA, not him, I had to insist on seeing the doctor not a PA like they had given me many times before. The receptionist explained to me the Dr. usually only sees cosmetology patients and not derm patients anymore. I should have gone elsewhere. I'm sorry I didn't.
I am amazed that 2 other MD's misdiagnosed my rash. It was a Nurse Practitioner who took the time to culture and order bloodwork which led to discovering a very serious skin infection. Thank you Dr. Rapaport for having such an attentive staff. Thank you to the NP Hannah Langberg for finally getting my agonizing skin issue resolved when no one else could.
I went for a questionable mole, PA removed it, follow up was with the PA, EXCUSE me.. this is CANCER.. could I SEE someone with more of a college education than me? Referred me to a surgeoun hoping he's a real surgeon!
My experience wih Dr. Rapaport was very disappointing. He does not take the time to explain all options & procedure, he rushed his time with me. He isnt knowledgable or caring in regards to cosmetic procedures and I found out to late. He only cares about $$$. When I went back for my second appt to address my concerns of the results of my procedure, which I was not happy with- he basically blew me off - unconcerned. I would NEVER recommend this doctor-EVER!!!
I was recommended to the doctor and was able to make an appointment easily. The office staff was friendly and the office was very clean. Enjoyed my wait in the waiting area. And, I already knew beforehand, when I made my appointment that I would be meeting with one of the nurse practitioners (NP) at the office. So, when I was called in, I was surprised and disappointed. The experience was completely opposite from expected. I brought my child in to be checked. The NP did not introduce herself, did not ask detailed questions to get to know me and my concerns. As soon, as we came into the room, the NP looked at my child and pretty much just gave me a prescription, and that's it. I was asking more questions, but the NP was already holding the door handle, signaling to leave already. She only stayed because I kept asking questions. We were basically only there for 5 minutes or less. Bedside manner was rude, arrogant and complacent. Everything else is fine, but I don't know why the NP was this way.
I was on-time for my appointment in Newport office. After waiting for 1 hour I was informed that I am 5th in line to see a doctor.
great staff, little pricely but well worth it. saw unreal results after just one round on an indented scar caused by a trauma on the bridge of my nose. Highly recommended
Went to see Dr. Rapaport earlier this week. I had to wait about 20 minutes in the waiting room but once I was called in, everything went fine. The doctor came in the room checked the 3 moles. 2 were fine and the third was taken removed. The whole process took less than 15 minutes with the numbing injection and the questionable move removal. I am quite satisfied with the outcome. My previous dermatologist spent about 1 minute with me everytime I went to her. I feel I was well treated at this doctors office and would go to him again. By the way I only paid the co-pay as I have insurance.
First off I called to schedule an appointment for my wife and myself to see the dr. together and that we were paying out-of-pocket,..the receptionist told me the combined visit would be $145.00..Ok,..I made the appointment and we got there and waited almost 45 minutes to see him.Ok,..he finally waltzes into the room followed by what looked to be a 5th grader clad in a nurse uniform..Ok,..I was removing my shirt to show him a mole that had developed on my RIGHT side, but Dr.Frankenstien wouldn't move around to accomodate me to view the mole, he just sat there I had to crane my body around to show him..he had shown no interest at all, and then said that it was "nothing"...Ok,..my wife's turn,..she had just taken off her tennis shoe to show him what she thought was nail fungus on her big toe,..he just looked, looked away, said "yeah, that's fungus" and that was that.. he left as quickly as he arrived.OK,..now we go to the front desk where the automaton behind the desk tells me it'll be $280.00 for the 2 visits..I almost collapsed..I informed her that I was told otherwise and she just kept insisting on the $280.00 I should've left right then and there but she embarrassed me in front of all the waiting room patients so I sheepishly gave her my credit card.So that's how they treat someone when they're paying without insurance...like garbage,..the doc was probably put off when he read our charts that said the dreaded "No Insurance" words..and decided we were not worth his professional attention because we were not his usual insurance card holders getting botox injections...Ok,..I will faithfully dissuade anyone I know from spending a dime on him, and will tell everyone I know what a horrible, disaffected, aloof, sorry excuse for a Doctor he is.Stay Home indeed!
I brought my teen age daughter to Dr. Rapaport for consulation regarding acne. He was very nice and spent quite a bit of time with us explaing causes and as well as myths related to acne. The office staff was very nice as well. Overall great experience, except for the initial 20 minute wait.
Horrible experience. Dr Rapaport spent exactly 15 seconds with me, telling me to "circle your problem areas in pencil" then walked out of the patient room and left me there for 1/2 hour. I eventually got up and left. Degrading and unprofessional experience.
