Dr. Jeffrey Peter Thompsen, MD

I have been a patient at this office for nearly a year, and my experience has been quite disappointing. Despite my repeated visits, I have yet to meet the doctor personally; I am consistently attended to by assistants and technicians. It appears that the doctor is rarely present in the office or hospital during treatment. My treatment has primarily consisted of prescription medications addressing symptoms, rather than any comprehensive approach to identify and resolve underlying issues. Furthermore, when I attempt to follow up on test results, my calls go unanswered. I often find myself leaving numerous messages without receiving a response. Additionally, I have encountered a lack of professionalism from the receptionist, Gail, who displays a passive-aggressive demeanor and is unhelpful to patients waiting for the doctor. It is evident that the staff may be overwhelmed, leading to a general feeling of neglect towards patient care. This operation resembles a chaotic assembly line of… patients, lacking proper oversight and genuine concern. Is this truly the standard of modern medicine and patient care? I hope for significant improvements in the future.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jeffrey P. Thompsen for many years. He is very knowledgeable. He keeps up with the many changes in healthcare. Also I have several health conditions and he works with all my doctors and other medications. He is very nice to me. I am an morbidly obese patient and him and his staff treat me like a human being. You would be surprised at how many doctors treat me as a second or third or lower class being!!!!!! They don't make eye contact, they brush me off, if they even acknowledge my existence! Some doctors don't treat me because they think I will be dead soon anyway! I am over weight but I only weigh (327 pounds) I know that is a lot for a woman who is 5'7". Trust me! But I don't think they should buy the casket just yet! I am 61yo! Back to Dr Jeffery P. Thompsen he is positive, does tests gives me the reports and sends copies to my other doctors! He explains everything and the pros and cons of treatment! I really Like Dr. Jeffery Thompsen!

This office is nothing but a glorified assembly line lab. Pleasant staff for a lab, but Dr. Thompsen doesn't communicate and I had to wait weeks and keep calling for some test results. I'd hate to have serious problems and have to deal with this doctor.

Dr. Thompsen was professional, courteous and spent adequate time with me, going addressing my concerns and answering the questions I'd presented him with. As for his staff, the gal who took my vitals and assisted in multiple testing procedures was courteous, polite and professional. As for the additional staff, which conducted multiple tests as well as provided outcome analysis was also very respectful, kind and easy going, while displaying concerns towards a thorough and accurate outcomes of the tests conducted. As for securing an appointment, that was also much sooner that multiple other cardiologists I had attempted to get in with (prior to seeking Dr. Thompsen). Both of my grandmother's are or were been patients of Dr. Thompsen and were and still are under his care and have never had anything negative to share about their experiences after many years as his patients. Another family member of mine (who has suffered a heart attack) is switching from their current… cardiologist, in order to become a patient of Dr. Thompsen after years under the care of a less proactive experience, whereas their current cardiologist refuses to be open to accurate, cutting edge cardiovascular knowledge that has to do with lifestyle changes and scientifically proven functional medicine and naturopathic methods that nourish cardiovascular health. Dr. Thompsen's medical assistant Shaun Brady is very knowledgeable regarding safe and effective holistic applications, in order to help patients to play a more proactive roll within their lives, in order to rejuvenate areas of concern on a vast multitude of levels and is very friendly and knowledgeable. As one who has studied functional nutrition extensively, personally, I trust Dr. Thompsen & his team for my cardiology needs and recommend him to family & friends.

My multiple visits to Dr. Thompsen were professional, Dr. Thompsen expressed my concerns clearly and took the time to clearly explain answers to my concerns. The staff was very accommodating and ensured that I was comfortable with testing and procedures administered. As for scheduling, my appointment was available far sooner than other cardiologists I have scheduled to see in comparison.

Very disappointed in him and office. difficult to get an appt. Staff is rude. I specifically requested three times for a personal call from Dr. Thompson. I am having severe symptoms and stressed my worry and wanted to speak to him personally about my results. The front desk called with results and resisted putting him on the phone. When he finally called me, he was rude, put out that I had insisted he call me. Gave me no concern or information about my heart other than the test was negative. I tried to ask more questions and he told me my case was discharged. His office smelled like pastry because the front desk woman was eating her breakfast at her desk. The tech team is a contracted team from Boston who come in on Wednesdays and it felt like a cattle call just filling up the waiting room to do as many tests in a day as they could. I was just another number and nothing more. The worst office experience, by far, that I have ever had. The tech team from Boston, however, were great. I… think Ill just go to them. Do not recommend this doctor at all.

i heard good things but I was disappointed. I had to come up with $250.00 before he would even see me. I have never heard of that and they did not tell me until 4 hours before my appointment. I am currently not working so that was alot of money. The only one that was funny was the nurse who did my EKG.

I was very disappointed with my visit. The office is not as clean one would expect a doctors office to be. There are scrape marks, dirt, and scuff marks all over the walls, floors were not vacummed, and there was a large hole in the wall of the room I was in (looked like exposed utility stuff). After being in the office for over an hour, with no clear understanding of what was happening next, I asked about next steps and timing. I was told it would only be about 15 minutes and I would be receiving an echocardio gram. The girl in the "echo" room told me to get dressed after, but left before unhooking me from any machines. After I finished, she left me back into the patient room where I sat for over 40 minutes, until I came out asking about next steps. The medical assistant was surprised to see me and the office manager came into tell me I was actually free to go- they had forgotten about me!! There were no other patients and no reason that should have happened. I was so angry that I… left without even asking for my results. I will not be returning.

Dr. Thompsen is extremely professional and explained my medical issues very clearly. He is motivational and clearly knows what he is doing. I have been to other cardiologists and find that Dr. Thompsen is not arrogant or dismissive. He clearly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to family and friends, even if they needed to travel a distance to see him. I know my heart is in good hands with Dr. Jeff Thompsen!
