Dr. Jennifer Lee Lyons, MD

Dr. Lyons did not look at medical records when offered. She viewed a few that were online, but could not see films/MRI etc. I asked if she wanted to look at films/MRI but declined. Dr. Lyons did not write in medical record one part of diagnosis she relayed to me verbally during appointment. I emailed Dr. Lyons to inquire she had not included the verbal explanation regarding diagnosis that she had relayed to me during appointment. Dr. Lyons did not return my email. I told my referring neurologist that Dr. Lyons refused to look at my films/MRI had brought them to appointment. My neurologist suggested I make another appointment with Dr. Lyons to discuss the situation. I emailed Dr. Lyons to relay my neurologist's advice and stated that I would be making another appointment. Dr. Lyons immediately emailed back stating to send her the films/MRI and that I did not need to make another appointment. A week later I received a letter from Dr. Lyons, addressed to all her patients, that she was… leaving Brigham and Women's Hospital. So, I never got a proper diagnosis, nor did she update my record to reflect part of the diagnosis explanation she had given during the appointment. I contacted Brigham and Women's Hospital. I sent a copy of the email exchange between Dr. Lyons and I and the Dr. Lyons' departing letter. Brigham and Women's and instructed me to submit a written request to update my record. I asked for a second opinion relying on the medical records and films/MRI that Dr. Lyons did not look at, but I do not know what will happen.

Dr. Lyons cares about you, not just your diagnosis. She looks for the gain you've made other than only focusing on the set backs. She considers family input on how the diagnosis is impacting the family. She is willing to ask for other provider's opinions as needed.
