Patient Reviews ? Write a Review
While Dr. Solomon may be a good doctor, her bed side manner is terrible. She comes off as cold, abrupt, arrogant and even condensing at times. I respect her as a doctor but not as a person. There is absolutely no reason to treat a patient or anyone like that for that matter. I would not recommend her to anyone for those reasons.
HORRIBLE. I waited over 2 months to get an appointment (my first with her) and she spent less than 2 minutes with me. She literally had one foot out the door the entire time and refused to answer any of my questions. She just said get more tests and then we will talk (though she asked me to get a different test done first prior to coming in then never looked at it or discussed the results with me). So now I'm stuck finding another doctor while still in pain. Would never see her again. Hopefully the next person will have a little bedside manner.
Lazy diagnosis. Horrible communication with patients. Her practice is like a factory. There are so many better orthopedics in NYC. Go elsewhere.
Dr. Solomon, I believe is a good technician. I received an epidural injection from her and as she promised it was not painful. She is good with a needle. However, I will not be returning to her because she has a terrible bedside manner. She is dismissive and arrogant. She does not have the tolerance for more than two questions. I am sorry I did not read the previous reviews before visiting her.
She's very hard to contact. You are asked to leave a message and call will be returned. It isn't
rude. know-it-all. waste of time.
Was extremely hurried and not open to more than one or two questions. On day of procedure she would not talk to me except in operating room but then it was obvious it was an imposition.
Rude, dismissive, uptight, arrogant--and I wouldn't trust my spine to her if you paid me.
I've been seeing Dr Solomon for several years, and she has managed my back and knee pain from osteoarthritis with great professional skill. I think some patients may misread her, as she has a very dry sense of humor when appropriate. Excellent doc!
I saw Dr. Solomon for lower back pain. After comparing my spine to a jelly doughnut, she assured me that the only way I would get better is with her spine injection. Although she was rude, dismissive, with horrible bedside manner, I decided to undergo the epidural due to my extreme pain. The injection itself was very painful and my pain significantly worsened thereafter. She was impossible to reach after the procedure and so I took my MRI to another physician who discovered that I had cancer, NOT JELLY DOUGHNUTS. She will be hearing from my attorney.
As a new patient, after waiting to see her for 45 minutes during which time she saw one of her regulars who came in AFTER I did before she saw ME, she spent a few short minutes with me, was completely dismissive of my chronic pain issues, MRI and concerns and basically did nothing for me. In addition, I found her to be rude, arrogant and a waste of time.
Dr. Solomon met squeezed me in because I was in so much pain. She quickly arranged an MRI to prove what she had originally thought it was...Spinal Stenosis!! I was so scared and didn't know what was wrong with me...she put my mind at ease not only in her office but while i was receiving my epidural injections!! Not only did she get the correct spot and work with great confidence and professionalism but she kept me preoccupied during the injection while making me smile (if you can imagine that). After the injection she was easily accessible via email...she literally responded back to me in 10 minutes!! I find this doctor to be one of the best I have ever dealt with and will HIGHLY recommend her to anyone I can!!Thank You!!
She spent 5 minutes with me, said she would be back, her nurse came in and took me to the insurance clerk. I had several more important questions sadly no additional time was allotted for my appointment. While sitting with the insurance clerk the doctor walks up and hands the clerk my scripts. Ended up asking her 2 questions out in the open, she answers as she is walks back to finish her personal conversation.
Dr. Solomon is an excellent physician. She gave a thorough exam and detailed history. I felt at ease with her and I appreciated the fact that she took time to really pin point my problem. I highly recommend this physician.
Dr. Solomon correctly diagnosed an issue with my back and hip that had been misdiagnosed for years. She is professional, thorough, warm, and caring. I have referred many friends to Dr. Solomon and all have been pleased with their experience. I owe her my mobility.
I find Jennifer to be a very warm and engaging person. She has treated me with physical therapy for the consequences of spinal arthritis, and works well with my rheumatologist.
I heard she was rather quick but this was ridiculous. Did not listen to me and was quick to claim the other diagnosis were incorrect. The examination was a joke. Very difficult to get on the phone. Just find someone that listens to you.
I was hoping the reviews was incorrect - she came highly rated. Very quick and does not listen to the patient. I was scheduled for an injection and received a call the evening before for preparation. When I called back 5 minutes later the person's mailbox was filled and I could not get through. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. She was quick with my diagnosis and impossible to reach when I left a message. I would have prefered one of the other but she is the only one who takes insurance. Don't bother -- find someone with less of an ego and truly dedicated to patient care.
I saw Dr. Solomon several years ago. I must admit that she is not the warmest physician I have ever met but then I was in her office for a diagnosis. She sent me to an excellent physical therapist and my pain was resolved. No complaints. No need for followup. She's incredibly busy so a long wait for a non-emergency is understandable. I would see her again in a heartbeat.
After seeing another doctor for many months regarding my shoulder, Dr. Solomon correctly diagnosed I had a torn labrum and not simply an inflamed AC joint. Furthermore, she was able to tell by my walk that something was wrong with my hamstring. I told her it was just tight and my leg went numb at times, but I assumed it was nothing. She added a spinal MRI to my shoulder MRI and identified that I had a herniated disc.
The doctor took one look at my x-ray (I saw her for hip pain and had brought the x-ray with me)and said: "You have arthritis. You can see it right here on the x-ray. Just go to physical therapy and take Tylenol Arthritis." She sent me for an MRI and I had to call her office repeatedly to get the results. When she finally returned the call, the diagnosis had changed completely. Now, it wasn't arthritis, but a very treatable tendon inflammation. But you can be sure I won't be seeing her for the treatment. She was cold and didn't spend any time with me (both things I can live with), but her initial incorrect diagnosis (which I, as an athlete, found upsetting -- you have a condition that's not going to improve and only get worse) and the way she simply dismissed my questions, and her subsequent unresponsiveness, sealed the deal.
after seeing Dr. Solomon for lumbar pain several times, I felt worse, physically & emotionally. This doctor gives the impression she couldn't care less; there is no follow up after a procedure; her office staff constantly makes (important) errors and then projects arrogance (in fact, arrogance is the key operating word for the treatment a patient received from the top down!)
My experience with Dr. Solomon was abrupt, cold, and careless. I was referred to her for hip pain. Without looking at my hip, examining me, or even looking at my MRI from 7 days prior, she demanded that I repeat am MRI because they are superior at HSS. My insurance (rightfully) denied repeating an unnecessary test and I was expected to pay $2700 out of pocket to repeat the MRI. I would not recommend Dr. Solomon to any of my friends or family.
I am sorry you feel this. I listen to and examine all of my patients. I recommended a new MRI because I felt it was the medically necessary thing to do.
As a female athlete; and after seeing about 30 doctors for a recurring back problem my life changed when I found Dr. Solomon. She figured out what was truly wrong with and diagnosed my spinal condition properly. After proper diagnosis, she put me on a path to successful healing! I listened to her (something you must do) and got better. Too many patients don't listen to their doctor (me being one of those in the past), but for some reason I wanted to listen to her; probably due to trust! She got me back in the game and I am now competing at an elite-level in triathlons. Something I never thought possible before I found this doctor!
Dr. Solomon is a no-nonsense physician with a heart of gold. She wastes no time, and her energy is profound. She has been my back doctor for over four years and has been caring, strict, dependable and amazingly trustworthy. I would recommend her without reservation. My only proviso is that she is like Speedy Gonzalez, she doesn't spend a great deal of time with you, but her decision-making is precise, accurate and meant to get her patients up to speed as soon as possible.
