Dr. Joann S. Ganim, MD

I had dr Ganim for ever and she is the best dr ever I miss seeing her she helped me all the time.

I have four children and we have been going to Dr. Ganim for 23 years. Our entire family is very sad that my children will soon be aging out of pediatric medicine. As a mother of four children, we have been through both minor and major medical issues throughout the 23 years, and we all are so grateful that Dr. Ganim was always there to help us navigate through them. She has garnered the trust and respect from all of my children (male and female) and they all have been able to have frank conversations with her, which is vital as they become young adults. She is incredibly intelligent, kind, and always receptive to dialogue. I highly recommend her without hesitation or reservation. Lastly, I don't usually rate or comment online, however I was shocked to read such an untruthful and inappropriate commentary about her. Over 23 years with four children, I've probably spent hundreds of hours dealing with sick visits, physicals, and medical emergencies and I've never had one negative… experience with her. Rather, I'm very grateful that she has been our doctor, helping to gently guide our children throughout the teen years - helping them thrive!

I have been seeing Dr. Ganim for quite a few years now, and I am almost ready to leave pediatrics (unfortunately). Ganim is the best doctor I have ever been seen by, and it will be so sad to have to leave her! I think I started seeing her when I was between 15-17 years old, and having a doctor at that age that you can tell ANYTHING to is extremely important, and I am blessed to have had a doctor like that! She always remembers everything I told her from a previous visit, and always is so helpful. She is extremely knowledgable, and makes you feel at ease. I can ask her anything and she won't give me that crazy look that a lot of doctors do. And she is always very thorough when you go in sick to make sure you get the correct treatment you need. I can only hope that when I leave pediatrics I can find a doctor as special as Joanne Ganim!

this doctor (i use this term loosely) is not to be trusted with any non typically developing child. not only does she make no effort to connect with children who present difficult upon examination, but she is cold , off-putting, and counter productive to developing good doctor/patient relationships with this type of child. additionally, she is not particularly adept at making accurate or timely diagnosis of medical or developmental issues. do not be fooled by her pleasant demeanor with adults and newborns....this doctor is no friend to children!!!

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ganim as a pediatrician. She has been my 12 year old daughter's MD for 4 years. She is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, explains her reasoning if she is in disagreement with something I pre-diagnose (MD's hate that, I think! but she is wonderful).. and she always has an open mind when the case is complex. I admire and respect Dr. Ganim and if anyone has an issue with her, I would say that was a rare occurance and not the norm. She was highly recommended to us by another patient's parent.
