Dr. Joel Francis Rach, MD

Went in for a low t checkup and had a general exam with blood work ordered. But when I was told to take my pants down to my knees and my shirt up to my shoulders, lying on my back, I never had another man touch me that way. It was weird. But it got weirder, when he told me to put my knees to my chest and turn over and face the wall. That's when I felt ole' banana fingers practically touch my tonsils from deep inside my rear end. But he was gentle and comforting, like Bob Ross narrating a masterpiece. I was somehow relaxed, considering I never had another man that deep up in me since Fr. Gregory. I was confused when it was over, not knowing how to make sense of what just happened. He made light of the situation explaining that he does this procedure to at least 6 men a week, and I shouldn't feel awkward about it, and told me he'd like to see me again. As I sat there, in the sat up fetal position, rocking back and forth, trying to find a happy place in my mind, all I could focus on is… the tears welling up in my eyes. I think he could see me holding those tears back because he gave me a comforting smile, assuring me that I indeed was special. Odd, but somehow I actually felt better. The most confusing part of it all though, was I didn't know if I was special enough to get a gift at the front desk or not. I can understand how Dr. Rach and his staff would feel just as awkward with giving a gift as I would be receiving one. I guess time will tell. So, as I sit here like Jim Carrey in "Me, Myself, and Irene", with my bare bum over the sink and me splashing water in my crack, trying to psychologically anchor in my deep subconscious the self empowerment trigger of washing this experience away, I am left with the decision to write a review.

Good Doc

The office is in a Victorian home that was once used as the town's library. Dr. Rach is very thorough with the amount of time he spends with each patient which is good, but just be prepared to sit there a while if you are accompanying the patient. The typical visit will take over 90 minutes. The doctor's bedside manner and the courteousness of the staff are not the main concern. Most important is that you receive an accurate diagnosis and he definitely does not leave "stones unturned" (not pun intended).

Walked in and observed no seating, there were patients standing and others sitting on the stairs. Appointment was for 3:15 and we weren't seen until 6:00!!!!!!!!!! On top of poor waiting and seating, the office is in a house, a HOARDERS house!! There are piles of books and charts and papers everywhere, and I honestly don't know why the state hasn't shut this place down. There is also a giant sword, propeler, old equiptment laying around everywhere. The staff walked right into the "waiting room" with a urine specimen cup and in front of evrryone gave it to me and said "i need you to go pee in the room for me" very unproffessional. The doctor was extremely mean towards his staff. When I was seen by him he would ask questions and then immediately interrupt and speak over me like I was stupid. There was no apology for waiting OVER 2.5 HOURS!!!! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AND RECOMMEND TO NO ONE!

he spent alot off time with with me and eplained everything in regular words so that i could understand my problem.
