Dr. Joel Teicher, MD, FACOG

My visit was excellent by both the shadowing medical student and the doctor. I felt heard and listened to by both of them. It was all excellent.

Honestly, to me he deserves more than a simple review. I met Dr. Joel Robert Teicher back in 2000. He was my obstetrician back at the journal center when I was pregnant with my identical twin boys. I had developed preeclampsia at my labor and delivery, had complications and lost a substantial amount of blood. Dr. Teicher recommended me against a blood transfusion because they’re not 100% safe. He and his amazing team took exceptional care of me before I was released from the Gibson Lovelace Hospital. He delivered my boys healthy with 0 complications. Now fast forward to April 2024 I never thought I’d be seeing him again after more than 23 years for hormone replacement therapy! I was thrilled to find out he was still practicing medicine. He is a selfless human being. He puts his patients needs and concerns first always. He treats you as a human being. He respects how important your time is. He listens. He validates your concerns. He always tries to find solutions to your health issues.… I will forever be grateful to him! The day he retires will be a very sad day!

Dr. Teicher is hands down the best physician I have ever had. Both his medical expertise and his bedside manner are topnotch. In his care, one feels human and cared for; almost unheard of nowadays, he takes time to get to know his patients. If all physicians were like him, the world would be an amazing place.

Dr Tiecher is a very great dr. He is easy to talk to and listen to your concerns and has answers.

Dr. Teicher is wonderful. He is very empathetic, listens, and advocates for specialized care when needed. I highly recommend him and Lovelace!

Dr.Joel Teicher was very caring, professional, trustworthy. During my visit I felt at ease with Dr. Teicher . He answered all my questions and also of had any more questions to let him know. My exam was quick and easy. Thank you for understanding and making me feel at ease.

It's hard to believe that there are any negative reviews of Dr. Teicher, because I have literally never heard anyone say anything bad about him. I've had difficult, long-term health issues and he has always spent a great deal of time and effort trying to help me find solutions. Even when there was little or no treatment available, I felt better for seeing him because he has such a healing presence. I trust him and have referred a number of my own patients to him. They too have all been very happy with his work. I don't know what I'll do when he retires!

My former GYN retired and I was referred to Dr. Teicher for my hormone replacement therapy. Had no waiting time when I arrived and the person taking more info was very thorough. Also, the dr. had a student Dr. who came in and went over things with me and thought she was lovely. When the Dr. arrived, he too went over my history etc. and had no problem renewing my prescription of HRT. Easy visit and will have no issue seeing them all again when I need to return.

My OBGYN retired and he recommended Dr. Teicher. I went to urgent care earlier and they told me to follow up with the OBGYN. It took six weeks to even get an appointment. I wanted to see someone sooner, but know the pandemic has made things difficult and I wanted to see Dr. Teicher. I was very disappointed with him. I felt pushed out of his office before my questions were answered. I felt that he did not actually care about why I was there and my medical concerns. He did not give me all the information I needed and almost felt like I was irritating him by asking questions. I did not get everything answered that I needed to, nor did I feel I got a chance to “choose” how I wanted to follow up even though he told me it was my choice. I honestly feel I learned more from googling then I did from him. It almost felt as if he just thought I was being a baby and did not care. I only have heard good things about him, but my experience was quite the opposite.

Dr. Teicher is an excellent physician. He listened to me, answered my questions. He made me feel he cared about me wanted to find out what my problem is. He made an effort to reassure me and ordered appropriate tests.
