Nice Doctor and knowledgeable but prone to overbooking which I feel is extremely inconsiderate to his patients due to consequent overly long waiting periods. Also front desk personnel rude, impatient and caustic. Not a nice experience.

I see Dana Haimo the physician assistant and she is great. She takes care of my two daughters as well. She is such a smart, friendly, and compassionate person.

Dr, Wilenz double dips with insurance. He charged me $300 up front when I was only suppose to pay a $35.00 co-pay for a biopsy. He told me this was a procedure and that I had a $1450 yearly deductible. He then proceeded to bill my insurance company for his visit and the pathologist $375.00. He was paid twice for the same service. When I contacted my insurance company they informed me that this was illegal. I should have paid only $35.00 for his services and $45.95 for the pathologist. I am a retired person living on social security. I am waiting for his billing office to reimburse me for the difference. Not very honest or professional.

My husband was seen by Dr. Wilentz for an autoimmune skin condition called bullous pemphigoid which causes severe blisters. He did not prescribe anything stronger than topical creams. The dermatologist who saw my husband next described Dr. Wilentz's treatment as inhumane. We had to travel back to New York with him covered head to toe in blisters. Avoid this dismissive doctor at all costs!
