Not replying to pharmacy requests, not returning phone calls, ignoring messages, no communications is called abandonment. Abandonment is a form of MALPRACTICE, look it up. Law suit ? Quite possibly. So many times being ignored, and the pharmacy being ignored, yes I am considering a legal action.

the only bad thing is the wait, because he takes time with his patients it can be a while. it is worth the wait by far.

by Veronica Arbizo on Feb 18th, 2015

Yes the wait for the Dr can be quite long but it is well worth it. Dr. Flores will spend the time to speak with you about your condition and any question you have. He goes through everything. Very highly recommended

Dr. John Flores has the potential to be a great doctor, but has instead become lazy, and only accommodates the use of morphine. If you have blood tests done outside, some how the doctor will never receive them. If you need a prescription refilled, forget the normal method of having the pharmacy send a fax, it will be ignored. Have an urgent message needing to get to the doctor, the staff will run you around, and stone wall you. If the doctor promises to handle something personally, for get it, he only remembers you while he is in the room, as soon as he leaves he forgets about you. If you go to him in person about your needs, be sure to check your prescriptions before you leave, chances are you only got a simple refill of what you got last visit, morphine, and more morphine. Dr. John Flores has become nothing more than a drug dealer, want morphine, easy to get here, but expect nothing more. My recommendation is to contact the New Mexico Medical Board, about staff and/or the doctor.

I had very good experiences with the doctor at the beginning, then I found my messages and prescription refills were being ignored or lost. Several times I experienced Walmart faxing a refill request for minor medications, NOT narcotic, NOT controlled substances, but no response from Silver Health. I also found that the faxes from the local laboratory either ignored or lost. I told Dr. Flores that it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a message to him, he replied "I KNOW", as if that was his wish. He acted concerned about my medical needs UNTIL he left the exam room, then it was forgotten, forgotten promises, forgotten medications. The only thing that would happen, would be refiling the same prescriptions I received before. On 1 occasion, I had to see him 2 weeks after a prior visit, (I drive 2 hours to see him, each direction), instead of writing prescriptions for my new problem, I was given an exact duplication of the meds from 2 weeks prior, including 2 for morphine. I had no need for any more morphine, only new medications. He had also promised to PERSONALLY get a situation resolved for me, with supplemented meds, it never happened. STAFF ? or Dr. Flores ? Doesn't really matter, he is responsible for how his staff treats patience, he doesn't care. Since I repeatedly complained, I was DROPPED as a patient IMMEDIATELY ! No warning, just -You're done. My recommendation is that you should report these incidence to New Mexico Medical Board. Getting anything other narcotic refills is impossible, he is only a drug dealer.

Dr Flores himself is a good doctor with values concern and respect for his patients I am very grateful to be his patient although there seems to besome problems with staff nurses maybe they are short staffed but my experience personallyI was treated rudely and did not appreciate the treatment by the staff during my visit I understand they have a job to do my mother is a nurse and a very caring good one so I have learned first-hand on how to treat patients that was not it some nurses are not trained on how to deal with mentally disabled patients so all I can say is they are in my prayers and hoping the staff is looked upon consideration for some help

He has return to the local area, and it was not his fault that he left town. It was out of his hands. I am just glad he is back. Dr. Flores will explain everything to you and he will never talk down to you. He will take the time to talk to you and listen to your concerns. He really wants to help and wants to help you with your pain problems. Thanks Doc. Welcome Back:)
