Dr. John Allan Gross, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Gross for 7 years and have enjoyed consistently competent care. He has always been current with my heath records, always has time to hear me and has given me good guidance in maintaining my health. I have had very positive experiences with the specialists he has referred me to. His staff has always been professional, courteous and supportive. Nurse, Kristin (sp), has always been professional and courteous. She has also responded to my on line inquiries in a timely manner and with helpful information. I have total confidence in the care I am receiving from Dr. Gross and his staff.

Dr. John Gross is a well educated doctor who listens, cares and diagnosis’s in a conservative manner. I moved to SC recently and will miss his sincerity that he gives his patients. Thank you Dr. Gross and facility. Sincerely, Margaret Smith.

I am a retired MD and knew Dr. Gross when I was in active practice. He is now my family doctor. He is through, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I have read other reviews and would like to weigh in on some complaints. I too have had some difficulty with his phone staff but with persistence, overcame these hurdles. The thing most lay people do not understand is that once a doctor has his practice bought out by a hospital or large healthcare system, the individualized services they were used to before, suffers. This is one of the unfortunate consequences of any large organization and bureaucracy. Government and insurance have forced most private practicing docs to sell their practices just to survive in this post private practice modern world. The doctor is not to blame here. Remember that when you review a physician on-line.

Very hard to reach by phone. Seemed more about cranking out office visits than my health.

Dr. Gross is patient, compassionate, and has always taken wonderful care of my father.

This doctor abandons you when you most need him because he doesn't want to deal with "billing" in the case of a car accident.

Latest complaint -> Should be simple enough to get an annual physical but when the staff orders the wrong blood work you get to make additional visits. Complete pain trying to get a simple medication refilled every 90 days. Been of the same medicine for 5 years but allows a hassle to get this refilled. My time is just as valuable to me as the Dr's so I will probably look elsewhere for a new Dr.

He doesn't listen to his patients, he spends minimal time with his patients. He has to have note takers in the room or else he has no clue about you when you return for follow up.

Just moved to St. Pete and needed a new physician. Researched many and talked to a few but chose Dr. Gross. Great experience in my first visit. Nice guy and great staff. Feel lucky to have found him. (Address is wrong in this listing.)

In 4 or 5 visits I have never had to wait very long. Dr Gross spent sufficient time with me and answered all of my questions. His staff is friendly and his office is up to date, clean and well organized
