I usually don't leave reviews but felt compelled to do so after being treated by Dr. Alappatt. I recently found myself, in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, suffering from a torn retina and was referred to Dr. Alappatt by my Ophthalmologist. After thorough examination, it was determined that I needed to have a surgical procedure in order to repair the retina and restore my sight. Dr. Alappatt "jumped through hoops" to get me scheduled during the height of the Pandemic with all of the restrictions placed on surgeries. My surgery was performed within 2 weeks and he and his staff have been amazing throughout the healing process. I read all of the reviews and can only surmise that the 2 negative comments were left by a disgruntled employee or his/her friends as I doubt seriously if they were actual patients. I highly recommend this physician and his staff as they are the epitome of professionalism and competence.

I am glad to express my appreciation for Dr. John Alappat's careful and professional ERM Pealing procedure he has done on me on May 13, 2020. He made sure through two prior appointments and the tests the condition of my eyes, and through the follow up appointments he gives me confidence that his continued care is there for me for my full recovery. About 16 years ago he had treated me for a retina detachment issue. I appreciate very much his professional efficiency and his personal and caring attention. I was referred to Dr. Alappatt, and got an appointment the very next day. The staff was very attentive and professional. Dr. Alappatt explained the surgery that he would be performing. The day of surgery, he spent some time with me before the actual surgery, and his competence was very calming to me. All the follow-up appointments have gone very smoothly, and Dr. Alappatt has very patiently answered all my questions.
