Dr. John Ernst Buenting, MD

Dr Buenting was extremely knowledgeable, told me every step of the way what he was doing and was extremely personable and just a nice person. Highly recommend

Have been seeing Dr Buenting for many years. He is very knowledgeable and gets right to the point! He also is kind, caring, approachable and has a great reputation here in our small town. I trust him completely! His office staff is also next to none. They are knowledgeable, professional, and courteous! Winners all the way around!!

Dr. Beunting and his staff are delightful. My eleven month old son needed ear tubes and everyone recommended Mountain Ear Nose and Throat. Dr. Beunting put me at ease about the procedure, he scheduled the procedure in a timely manner. The day of the surgery, the nurses at the hospital in Sylva were wonderful and the procedure went flawlessly. My son feels so much better!

For my first appointment, I was told to arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork. There was another wait of more than an hour to see Dr. Buenting. For my second visit, the wait was about 20 minutes. My third visit was today, and I arrived about 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork for allergy testing, I was told that, since I had not brought back the completed paperwork given to me at my previous visit, I would have to reschedule. I asked for the paperwork again, as I didn't know where I had placed the paperwork given to me a month ago. The new paperwork was one page that I could have completed in about three minutes. I asked to fill out the paperwork and proceed with the appointment. No, I could not do that. I had to reschedule. I pointed out that I could have completed the paperwork in the time we had been discussing it, but I was still refused the appointment. The replacement paperwork does not say that your appointment will be forfeited if the paperwork does not… accompany you. It was ridiculous. I hired a sitter for my disabled husband, drove over 50 miles, arrived early, was denied my appointment and was sent on my way about the time my appointment should have begun. I have no issues with Dr. Buenting's qualifications, but I am not returning. Time is valuable to me and the reason for denying my appointment was ridiculous.

I had been having breathing issues for well over 2 years with several doctor visits behind me and no answers. Dr. Buenting was thorough in his examination and located the problem on my first office visit with him. I am very, very impressed with him and his skills. I would recommend him highly!!

Dr. Buenting is about the best Dr. I go to. He's very caring & professional & so is his staff. Although I usually do have to wait a while, it's well worth the time with the care I have recieved. I would highly recommend Dr. Buenting!

The doctor & the hospital in SYlva were wonderful for me. I was self pay and they worked with me. They didn;t waist any time at fixing my throat and getting me back to work. I am so happy to have met and know John Buenting. If you like what he does for you bring him a nice red wine as a thank you. I know he likes it.
