I was operated on for Cervical Myelopathy. Fortunately, Dr. Chi performed my surgery. He is a brilliant surgeon, very knowledgeable and thorough. I highly recommend Dr. Chi for neurological needs,

Dr. Chi was the only doctor who helped me after not being able to use my right arm to lift, get dressed or just live normally. He was kind, courteous, and took his time to explain that I needed surgery and why. I have since recommended him to others who have been to other neurologists who said nothing was wrong. Best Neurologist I ever had the pleasure of meeting. He fixed my problem and I’ve never had anything wrong since he fixed me. It was my pleasure to meet him and have him as my surgeon. His whole team is just awesome! I’d give him 10 stars if I could!

Drove over an hour to be seen by Dr. Chi, he spent a total of 3 minutes with me. Did not do an exam looked at my images stated he would treat me conservatively but did not elaborate on what that was. Sent me for Xrays and told me to go home and he would call me. I was seen on a Tuesday it is now Friday when I am writing this review and still have not heard from him! I called the main number for the department and was transferred to an answering service. I will not go back and do not recommend any one too see Dr. Chi. Horrible experience

I had surgery 1&1/2 years ago. I has a double fusion surgery and a foramenactomy for nerve pain. I am still in chronic pain. The repeated visits and questions on the portal give no help in explaining how to proceed. Going to a pain clinic is a waste of time for me. Having injections has proved fruitless, as well. I experience extreme sciatic pain. I have tried physical therapy, acupuncture and, when necessary, opiates. When I ask why I am still in this pain there is no reason given. Compression in the nerve canal must be a factor. I wish I could be viewed as a relevant post-surgical patient who needs some feedback and if necessary a candidate for revision surgery. I can’t seem to get a compassionate or meaningful reply to my condition.

I had serious neck damage due to a combination of arthritis and an automobile accident. The search for a surgeon was most difficult as my pending insurance case was not close to settlement and some surgeons did not want to become involved at that point. Other surgeons were too busy or had no experience in repairing the extensive damage. I located Dr. Chi on the Internet because it was difficult to obtain a recommendation from the diagnosing neurologist as well as any other Doctor I knew. Dr. Chi was not able to see me right away but was able to arrange an appointment with me within a fair timeline. Our visit was well planned as I found Dr. Chi had studied my problem before our visit and was prepared to offer options for both surgery and rehab. Dr. Chi felt that rehab may work on a temporary basis but that surgery was definitely the best way to proceed. I chose the surgical option as Dr. Chi's detailed explanation quite clearly showed why is need surgery in the future regardless of the… rehab option's result. Dr. Chi's preop staff was well trained. I found them to be compassionate as well as knowledgable in regards to the upcoming surgery. The preop meetings took place in a timely manner and a nicely organized agenda. The scheduled surgery took place in time and was most definitely a success. All Dr. Chi told me he could do happened. His preop plan was carried off without a hitch. I feel great thus far. My expectations are that this will continue. Dr. Chi most definitely took care of my situation because he was a Doctor first who could help me to walk once again as well as regain use of an arm. My condition and repair was all Dr. Chi was interested in. The insurance and legal issues were not of concern to him. His priority was his patient. Thank you Dr. Chi.

My surgery went fine then had a complication. He never returned a call from that time until I left the practice a month later to have surgery elsewhere because he was putting me off for an unreasonable period of time. Never got a call to check on me when pain was severe and I had to call neurosurgeon in the middle of the night. He doesn't do any physical examination at all...spends minutes with patients. I've heard this from others as well.

prior to surgery with dr.chi everything was great..post op was a nightmare ...many complications(very serious) a surgery that I was surpose to be in for 1 day ended up being 8 days,he only saw me once..follow up visit was horrible he blamed his co-workers for this life threatning expiernce..He was referred to me by a well known md @bwh so I thought I was in great hands apparently not...If you need surgery I would look elsewhere would not recommend..Having surgery at bwh(one of the best hospitals) was the worst expiernce of my life .

Highly skilled, cares about the patient, knows what he's doing, gets to the point.

I was in a bad motorcycle accident in 2009I fractured c2. Dr Chi performed surgery, and I am 98% recovered. Thanks, Dr Chi

His assistant is rude and incompetent. Also I could not get a follow up appointment for THREE months even though I was still in pain after surgery
