He attended Wake Forest College and the Bowman Gray School of Medicine receiving the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1957. He completed a residency in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Bethesda Naval Hospital in 1960 and a Fellowship in Radiotherapy at the University of Chicago in 1961. Dr. Corbett became a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology in 1962 and a Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 1994.
