Dr. John David Hughes, MD

My friend was admitted to CCU at Plano Presby and Dr. Hughes lead the team of doctors. Having unusual circumstances, Dr. Hughes spent a great deal of time explaning each compounding problem, what would probably happen next & potential courses of action. He was accurate on all three. I am not a passive bystander & want to know what is happening. I also want to see the same doctor everyday. Daily, I asked to speak with him &, from what I saw, he always came asap. He is a compassionate, knowledgeable doctor who has excellent bedside manners.

After being addmitted to Plano Presby CCU with sever Pneumococcal pneumonia this man took control of the medical team required and simply saved my life. I was in hospital for three months and been under his care since rehab. A true caring professional of the highest order.

Dr. Hughes was my daughters doctor during the last minutes of her life. He worked on her for 25 minutes trying to bring her back after she went into cardiac arrest. She was only 33. He did all he could do for her and was so kind afterwards,explaining to my husband and I all he could considering the state she was in. It was not his fault that she died and I would feel very comfortable using him as my doctor if I needed someone in his field. He has a wonderful bedside manner and explains everything well. I wish you well Dr. Hughes and thankyou for all you did to try to save our daughters life.

Dr. Hughes saved my wife's life in 2003 when she was suffering from COPD and on a ventalator at LifeCare. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and easy to talk to. He is currently treating my broncitis and he responds promptly to my calls about my condition as well as when I request a referral to a doctor in another speciality. I highly recommend him as a physician and a human being.
