Dr Renz is currently litigating SUNY Downstate over poor patient care. As you can see from the below reviews, they are obviously false and written by persons whose poor care have Been exposed. Dr Renz has a history of excellent patient reviews for over two decades.

John Renz did poor patient care. I am a patient of his from downstate. I am paying the ultimate price of his incompetence becuase i had multiple problems from his transplant and needed medical attention repeatedly. Hospital fired him, now he turns around claiming he is a whistle-blower....cannot believe how immoral he is. If you want a kidney transplant, go anywhere but do not seek care from this guy.

As you can see from reading the reviews of 2018 and 2019. Dr Renz's efforts to uncover poor medical care at Downstate have drawn anonymous scorn from those individuals who now have to account for their actions.

John Renz is a whistle-blower. He keeps a whistle between his lips all day, walks around blowing a whistle all day like a referee not a doctor at Downstate Medical Center!

Dr Renz is litigating SUNY Downstate for poor care between 2018 and 2020. Thus, any review on this site since 2018 is likely false and an attempt to discredit him. Prior to 2018, he enjoyed a five star rating at four other institutions. Dr Renz uncovered notable deficiencies that have contributed to poor care at Downstate for an extended period so many individuals who have not provided reasonable care would be inclined to provide false statements

He is a terrible surgeon, I received a transplant from him and suffered horrible complications, I underwent many surgeries to correct the complications, and now he is fired from the hospital, thank god.

Dr Renz performed liver transplant on my brother 3 years ago. He died of complications from the liver transplant 2 years ago.
