Dr Jernick is a physician who cares about his patients. My overall health has improved since he accepted me as a patient -as a result of his CARING and follow up. Dr Jernick has been my primary care doctor for decades. He has seen me through some very bad times, and I always feel supported and well-cared-for. Recently, I had a very uncomfortable set of disparate symptoms for months after a sudden acute illness. He really persisted in his research until he found the unexpected cause, and following his recommendation quickly made me feel human again. But Dr Jernick's not just a great doctor, with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving and therapeutic skills. He is a warm, outgoing, and caring person who genuinely respects his patients. I can talk about anything or ask any question and feel really listened to (which is not always true for women patients). When I emailed him with a follow-up question and mentioned a recent emotionally traumatic event, his response was so profoundly compassionate that it made me cry. He even knows how (and when) to make me laugh in his office to distract from the pain of an uncomfortable but necessary… procedure. And when I had some bad test results recently, the fact that he called me on the phone within an hour of the test to discuss what the results mean and what would happen next made all the difference to me. The news was still a shock, but he made me feel reassured that I could get through this, and that, even though he would be sending me to a specialist, he would be there to support me and answer any questions. Dr Jernick is the very embodiment of primary care at its best.

I have been using Dr. Jernick for 20 years.
