Dr. John William Kitzmiller, MD

Disreputable! I went to this clinic for over a year, and only saw the doctor on the 1st visit. They force you to see his wife, a psychologist there. She never returned urgent calls. Worse, the doctor prescribed a med at too high and frequent a dosage, which resulted in my having 2 blackouts and being greatly injured, not to mention being put thru a battery of unnecessary tests. I specifically made an appt w the doctor to discuss these issues. I was notified by the receptionist 2 days later that he refused to see me and stated he would only see new patients! I’ve got a capable and compassionate doc now at an unrelated facility. The new doc has his own surgical space, and there are so many more options for pain control that I didn’t know about. This man (I can’t even call him a doctor) is a disgrace to his profession and a danger to his patients. My advice is to steer clear for your own good!

Dr Kitzmiller and staff has saved my wifes life! they validate her journey rach and every month! they provide the tools so she can be the best wife & momma she is able to be! if you have chronic pain this dr will help!

Dr Kitzmiller & staff are what we in the chronic pain community call a unicorn dr. a unicorn doctor listens & validates your symptoms and experience. The reason for unicorn Doctor is because this type of experience/doctor is so very few and far between! Dr kitzmiller will validate your journey! Each patient is treated as an individual and individualized care is given! If you have chronic pain this is the office you want to be at! if you have SUD ( formerly known as addiction) this is the office you want to be at! this is an absolute utopia in the healthcare system! no one is immune to injury sickness or age! correct use doesn’t equal abuse TM thank you for saving my life

AVOID!!!!! Encourages you to keep appointments with COVID-19 symptoms. I called on the morning of appointments for my two children letting them know we were COVID symptomatic and they told me we still had to go in or they would charge us $200 for a “No Show”. Unlike Bald Mountain Behavioral Health, I care about keeping people safe so we canceled the appointments for that day and the following week. Then to my surprise, they charged my children $400 in “No Show” fees.....All because we were trying to keep people safe. When calling the office to discuss our bill, the office was EXTREMELY rude and hung up on me. I even had to get our attorney involved. As owner of this office, I attempted to contact John to discuss the way his staff treats people, but he didn't care enough to get back to me. Check the other reviews on different sites as well. Overcharging and rude staff are the theme.

I was seeing Dr kitzmiller for pain do to being hit by drunk driver until i had surgery.But every month im.billed for drug tests iI have already paid for and today its been months since soemone has called me for ? Billing and when I called last month I was told they are charging me.10$ a minute to call.about my bill ??So today I received yet more bills for charges for calling about Billing anyone eles.have this is issue I no longer go to this office nor would ..

Dr Kitzmiller resolved my wife's back pain when no other medical practice / pain center could resolve. It took two visits and understanding the exact source. Dr Kitzmiller understood and resolved her issue that had eluded other doctors .

I was seeing Dr. Kitzmiller through his behavioral medicine practice for 2 years in Lake Orion..Things were changing in the office in which they wanted to start counting your remaining medication from last prescription, but he would never ask to count mine (even though there were a couple times I would show him the remaining count of my meds, even if he didn't ask anyway). He was aware that I would still take opiates here & there for my severe pelvic & back pain & was perfectly fine with that. We had an understanding. Then all of a sudden he wasn't seeing me anymore for my last 2 appointments & I was seeing someone I didn't know & vise versa. I was very angered by this as I was told this would only happen once. She was a very sarcastic rude woman so I did not hold back my feelings. She treated me like a drug addict & told me that my urine did not contain the medications that were suppose to be in my system although I had been taken my medications with witnesses from my family. My… family was also very upset to hear this because they knew I was taking the meds that I was suppose to. She told me I was using HEROIN in which I have never even laid eyes on. My levels were just high from the opiates I had been on because the amount of pain I had been in a couple days prior. She also questioned my relationship with Dr. Kitzmiller. I finally had enough & demanded to speak with John but he wouldn't talk to me. At least that is what I was told. I have NEVER felt so disrespected in my whole life & it was a huge slap in the face that Dr Kitzmiller ignored the whole thing when I was one of his better patients. I didn't make a scene so I don't understand why they wouldn't work with me. The front office ended with telling me that "they suggest I leave". So I resigned & I will never return & I will make sure everyone knows what a joke this office is. Thanks a lot John.

He's is an older man who at first I was extremely happy to see. He changed that by accusing me of having opiate in urine, soon as he realized it was a mistake never apologized. Suggested I get counseling, asked him to counsel me said he did NOT do both (prescribe suboxone)yet he billed my insurance for 30 minute psychotherapy sessions on same day I went in to pick up prescription.

Went to him in 2005 had a Aorta byfemoral bypass I was 41 years old and now having the best years of my hole life!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for holding my finger and being there for me GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
