My mom went in for a 3 day max recovery back sugary. She hasn't been able to walk for months now.

I had an L5-S1 laminectomy, discectomy with this doctor. At two weeks post op I knew I had an infection in my incision but he said it was not infected. I went six weeks with an infection in my lower spine because every time I went in to say it was infected, he said it was not. I ended up in emergency surgery so he could remove all the dead tissue. A year later I had to have a fusion due to the loss of tissue in my spine. I will never return to this doctor, this has ruined my quality of life and I will never be the same.

Dr. Lankenau is the BIGGEST jerk and rude . I DO NOT recommend this,place at all. Suppose to be a Place for the SPINE... we drove almost 2 hrs to be told pick a spot?? The spine is all attached and you wont look at the whole spine at a consult? I told the doctor how far we drove and all he said was, 'and'. My husband has always,been active and healthy, now with an injury we still have no answer as this Dr did nothing! Oh and it gets better , later thst night got home and the visit was in our inbox. That doctor said my husband smokes a pack of cigarettes a day.... dude my husband hasnt smoked in almost 9 years. Terrible terrible place!!!!

Look, I had a serious infection that ate away several disc and vertebrae in my neck. It was repaired by another surgeon with cadaver bone. But it was never stable. I had serious problems with it and Dr. Lankenau operated on me and put in rods and wires to hold my cervical spine in place. The fusion was actually broken and I was walking around actually risking total paralysis. Then some years later, I had a spinal injection by another doc who pierced the dura and caused arachnoiditis. Dr. Lankenau then helped me get my pain under control and hooked me up with a great neuerosurgeon to get that taken care of. In the end, if I ever need a ortho surgeon again, I'll go to Dr. Lankenau, even though he now lives in another state.

I was experiencing extreme pain in my neck and left arm from an exam table dumping me on my heart at another Dr.'s office damaging C-7 T-1 joint in my spine. Dr. Lankenau sent me for a Nerve Root Block. My pain is completely GONE! He took care of my pain quickly, I am grateful to him for doing an awesome job We loved his personality and professional opinions. Heconsulted with his partner about surgery on my spine and decided it wasn't a possibility to get to it surgically. Many thanks to Dr. Lankenau.

We found him we found him personable informative and reacted to any questions we had about the planned surgery he explained all the Avenues of what to do or if we decided not to have surgery what would happen he used models and diagrams and explained the procedure and gave us the option to think about it and let him know what we would like to do is much as surgery or not surgery he explained the repercussions of not having surgery versus having surgery he did say that there is no guarantee in back surgery as to whether the pain would be completely gone or not no complete guarantees such as in life. He also spent all the time necessary to explain everything to us and did not seem to be anxious or on a time restraint was pleasant and very informative. Post-surgery observation after the procedure we will post how it went after treatment.

Received a truthful explanation of my situation, just what I wanted.

The appointment was easily and quickly achieved as well as a thoracic CT scan. The results were not favorable and the situation is serious. Dr. Lankenau did not offer us any comments, refferals or options. This was a complete waste of time as when asked for such he simply said" I cannot help you". I do not recommend this Dr. for serious issues where time or knowledge is of the essence.

The staff is very rude!! The doctor spent less than 5 minutes with me and didn't even review why I was referred to him. This was a total waste of my time. Then came the billing, What a mess! I called to get the billing corrected and was rudely told they didn't have the time to talk to me about the billing. Do not go there if you want competent service! This doctor is listed for CO but I was referred to him in another state. Did he get kicked out of Colorado?
