Dr. John Philip Lazenby, MD

Dr. Lazenby joined our practice in 2002 after completing his Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his Medical school at University of Arkansas College of medicine and then his residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his MBA from Auburn University. Besides his work with Athens Pulmonary he is also the Chief Medical Informatics Officer at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and in Sleep medicine. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS), the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), American Academy of Sleep Medicine Member and American College of Physician Executives. He has active privileges at Athens Regional Medical Center, Saint Mary’s Hospital, and Landmark Hospital in Athens.
