Dr. John Michael Ippolito, MD

I enjoy conversing with John on medical issues, but he says I am the healthiest 62yo male he has the pleasure of seeing. He has a warm demeanor, is pleasant and will answer all your questions. He is knowledgeable on many subjects and keeps current with the latest medical findings.

I have been seeing Doctor Ippolito for over 16 years now and he truly is a great Doctor! He answers all of my questions and genuinely cares! Sometimes I have a list of things to ask him and he never rushes me and takes the time to answer all of them! I feel confident with the diagnosis that he gives me and I will continue to see him, for all of my health care needs. I highly recommend him.

Dr. John Ippolito is an excellent diagnostic primary care doctor with a great bedside manner. He is always willing to spend more than enough time to help answer any of your questions. He routinely follows up after office visits and makes sure to drop in to check on his patients each day when they are hospitalized. Dr Ippilito is a great Doctor but staff is inefficient the referrals he sends you to are at Ventura County Medical Center the worst place on earth a three hour wait after your appointment time. also prescription refill take an act of congress to get I

Doctor is courteous, caring, and knowledgeable. Office is gorgeous. Staff are courteous. However staff are inefficient. Medical assistant just says "it wasn't my fault. What can I do?" Paperwork disappeared three times, wait times range from about an hour to three hours. At times we were explained that doctor is double booked. But when we needed an urgent appointment for severe pain, we were unable to schedule. Then appointment we received was cancelled. Md prescribes meds with no refills, although now it is one button hit. When we submit request to pharmacy they call to say that office does not respond. I had to personally intervene. Out of 5 promises to call back- only 1 maybe gets returned by staff. As soon as my insurance changes I am changing this provider.

The doctor is amazing; after moving I travel over an hour to continue to see him. But the staff doesn't make life easy. When I first started seeing him he returned calls, followed up with concerns it was awesome. Now, it takes two weeks or more to get an appointment, I can't talk to him on the phone and if I'm not feel well (I have a chronic illness) and just need a bit of advice about medication I have to make an appointment. Two weeks later my issues usually (painfully) resolves it's self and the appointment, one + hour of travel, gas money and office visit cost it really isn't worth it. Crazy great doctor, no common sense staff!
