Dr. John Paul Plante, MD

I think Dr. Plante spent a total of 5 minutes with me between 2 visits. It seemed that all he wanted to do was run tests to check for cancer and once my tests all came back somewhat clean he basically dismissed me and didn't go over ANY of my results. He showed no interest in finding the source of my problem after there was no cancer detected so I left with a boatload of bills and no answer to the problem I'm STILL having. I feel Dr. Plante is a very cold person with no empathy and he does not care to spend any time with you. So off to a 2nd doctor I go. DO NOT SEE THIS MAN.

As a 20 year old female experiencing extreme pain for 2+ months he seemed to not care at all. I was terrified to go to my appointment and he only spoke with me for THREE MINUTES. He did not give me any chance to talk about what i was experiencing and had absolutely no bedside manner. I asked questions that were avoided and he seemed extremely rushed. I felt like I was a burden and I had waited three weeks to get this appointment only to still be left with extreme pain.

Poor Attitude

totally un-professional. after several years of seeing him he gradually got more rushed, less informative and in fact charged me for a surgery i never had. never went back. he has NO bedside manner.

He knows his stuff. He can come off as gruff, but he took care of me when I had some serious things going on. I trust him.

I will not go back again. I was billed for lab work that was not done. I was charged over $300.00 for seeing him for enough time for him the write a prescription, no examine was done, no urine taken. I have had many visits and procedures done before this visit but bill listed me as first time patient. Asked if I was billed the $300.00 in error for the length of visit at what was done at visit thinking they thought they did these tests even though they had not and was told that was the right amount charged. I had never been charged that much for a visit before. Now I don't trust them.

Hello, I could diagnose myself faster.

Talking with this Dr was very difficult because he doesn't offer information unless I remembered to ask the question first. Very poor communication.

As a surgical patient, I have found Dr. Plante to be highly skilled, knowledgeable and efficient. He doesn't waste time, comes right to the point, and doesn't mince words. His outward personality is quiet, reserved, a bit dry and impersonal, which unfortunately may leave a false impression that he doesn't care as much as a patient may wish a doctor to care. My experience is that he cares - he's just not good at showing it. I am male and far more interested in my doctor's professional skills than his personality. Dr. Plante has been my urologist for the past twenty years, during which time I have had three surgical procedures, and remains my urologist today.

Horrible experience!! never again!! very unprofessional, someone has to do something about it! and we will!!!
