John R Vanderzyl, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Vanderzyl for close to 15 years. The quality of care and attention has deteriorated tremendously over the years. From the excrutiatingly long holds on the phone to talk to a "live" person, to the long wait time in the office for the appointment. The current PA has zero bedside manner and no warmth. She glossed over most of my concerns, and did not advise me to have the generally recommended tests for someone my age (mid-fifties). (Fortunately I know what's recommended.) When asked, the lab tech could not tell me what blood tests were being done and, because the PA disappeared after my exam, after a week and a half, I still have no idea and have not received any results. There have never been ANY follow-ups from ANY doctor ANYTIME during the years that I've been going to SLFP; not even when my daughter was diagnosed with a life-threatening ruptured appendix. Sad, but true, I have had better treatment at CVS care facilities. This practice is seriously out of control on so many levels. If you want to waste money on your healthcare, this is a great place to start.

Dr. Vanderzyl is an excellent physician and provides fast and caring service. I have been going to him for years and still receive the same amazing health care experience each and every visit.
