My 6 year old daughter got strep and tonsillitis often. 7x in about 4 months, I knew it was time for her to have them removed. After waiting an hour past appt time for a tonsillectomy consultation. He told me he needs to see 8 positive tests in a year. Took zero account for what I had to say. Then told me tonsillectomies are not easier forkids, and female adults have said it’s worse than child birth. So I would be putting my 6yo through something worse than child birth if I went through with the surgery for her. I cried, and was second guessing myself. It wasn’t until the next year we saw a new ENT doctor and we had her tonsils removed that year. Her strep had gotten so bad, She was on antibiotics for a month before her surgery and probably actually went into surgery with positive strep. That’s how bad it was. I was so angry that I let him make me believe it wasn’t the right choice. I would’ve gotten a second opinion immediately and she wouldn’t have suffered the next year. Absolutely… disgusted about how we were treated. He was not pleasant and seemed bothered we were there. I hope nobody else goes through this.

Dr. Thomas is very matter of fact in explaining conditions and solutions. He does not push procedures but rather provides good information, options, and gives the patient/family time to decide how to proceed and when. My daughter and I think he's wonderful. She saw him for an ear condition as a toddler and again as a teenager for a nose issue. Both times he fixed the problem and significantly improved her quality of life.

Dr. Thomas was fantastic, having the ability to see an experienced, well educated man of color is such a pleasure in Minnesota, speaking with a Dr. who looks like you is a wish come true!

Dr Thomas did my total thyroidectomy for papillary cancer in 1997 when I was 18. My scar is barely visible and I've had no residual issues since. He is a wonderful doctor and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an ENT!

After seeing many doctors and unsuccessful PT, Dr. Thomas provided me with my diagnosis of mal de debarquement syndrome in 2007. Receiving the diagnosis has allowed me to learn how to live with my disease. Thank you Dr. Thomas!

Dr. Thomas has been extremely helpful to me he always asks if I have any questions and advises me on what he feels would be the right way to go and yet never forces his opinion on me. I hope he never leaves the St. Paul office as I would have a hard time to ever find a Dr. I had more confidence in or liked as well.

My daughter has had several surgeries with Dr. Thomas and we are very impressed with his knowledge and his care. She felt highly cared for and safe in his care. We highly recommend him.

We started seeing Dr. Thomas 16 years ago and have had all our children see him when needed. We have, and will continue to, refer family and friends to him. We find him extremely competent.
