Excellent help from all involved

Dr. Haas didn't make eye contact with us, had no emotion in his voice, really had no bedside manner at all. He is accompanied by a "scribe", a woman who recorded the words said during the office visit. She was the one who answered our questions and filled in the blanks. One of the most bizarre medical appointments I have been on with my mother, who was the patient.

I arrived at the surgical center after my radius fractured and the neck of my radius pierced the distal end of the radius. The surgical staff prepared me for surgery and I was greeted by a pleasant, cordial surgeon- Dr Jonathon Haas I was experiencing severe pain- on morphine, prior to surgery. Hospital staff were very encouraging and kept me comfortable before, during and after surgery. I was discharged from the hospital in the evening. I was given pain medications and discharge instructions. I was uncomfortable with the pain medication and switched to Advil within two days. The outcome of the surgery was really quite amazing. Considering the fact that the distal end of the radius and the neck of the radius fractured in to many pieces, I would say: Dr Jonathon Haas' skill in putting my arm/wrist back together again would be considered EXCELLENT. I went in to see Dr. Haas after I had suffered a knee injury playing soccer. He diagnosed me that I had a torn ACL and meniscus and recommended arthroscopic surgery to fix both. I informed him that I was due to get married within 5 months and that all the plans had been in place already with most of it paid in advance. I shared my concerns with him as far as being able to recover in time and he assured me that I would be able to walk normally within couple months post op with some rehab physical therapy. It is worth noting that I actually walked in to his office without any limp. Well, six months after surgery and continued weekly physical therapy I still had significant limping. I kept complaining to Dr. Haas about this limp that I had developed and his advice was to continue with therapy, which wasn't helping at all. In fact even the therapist was baffled by it and suggested I go back to the doctor to let him know that she had done all that she could and that it wasn't making any… difference as the muscles were as strong as they were and that this wasn't the issue. I was therefore left to limp on my wedding day and graduation from school and thus blame Dr. Haas for ruining both of these special events for me. I actually ended up having a second surgery to fix my knee and now I am able to walk and even run. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone and would never go to him even if he was the last surgeon in the world. I hope by me spending my time doing this, people would read it and not have to suffer going through similar ordeals.
