Dr. Joseph Gerard Craig, MD

Dr. Cajigas attended medical school at the University Autónoma de Baja California in Mexico. He completed his post-graduate training at the University of Illinois at Chicago Michael Reese Hospital followed by Northwestern University while focusing on Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Cajigas has served as the Service Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, West Bloomfield as well as the clinical assistant professor of Medicine for Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is presently teaching Residents and Fellows in the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at Henry Ford Hospital and serves on the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Curriculum Committee. Dr. Cajigas has a clinical interest in Pulmonary Hypertension. Dr. Cajigas has strong interest in clinical research and participates in multinational research trials in the field of pulmonary hypertension. He participates in national meetings as expert in the field of …pulmonary hypertension and frequently is invited to present grand rounds at different hospitals local and regionally. He leads the Pulmonary hypertension clinic at Henry Ford Hospital with over 100 patients on active treatment.
