Dr Pace is simply not available for follow up care. Even his gatekeeper LPN has a gatekeeper RN

Dr. Pace inplanted my pacemaker. I was not given the proper amount of sedatives or numbing of the area where he cut me. I could feel his cutting. Then when he stapled me it hurt so bad I could hardly lay on the table. Of course I yelled each time he stapled me but he would only say "Sorry Sweetie" each time he stapled me and I yelled "it hurts"! He would not even look at me, when he left the room. My friend was told to wait across the hall and he will talk to her when he would come out. She walked up to him and introduced herself..he completely ignored her, and just kept walking away from her. All of this was bad enough! He also punctured my heart during the proceedure...sent me home..without telling me! Some days later after experiencing much discomfort and very sharp pains around my heart to where I could hardly breathe, I was sent to ER. My family Doctor told me my heart was inflamed, which at that time, I did not understand why and too much discomfort to even ask.500cc's of blood was withdrawn that was trapped between my heart and heart sac. I was told that it kept my heart from pumping normally. Only then, at that time, did I learn that I was punctured. I could have died!I would never ever recomend this Doctor to anyone, not even my worst enemy!

Extremely nice personable man.....great bedside manner...however...pushes the medication well before trying diet changes, weight loss, etc.,etc.....also very quick to recommend invasive surgery as a remedy even before test results are obtained that indicate a need for surgery...in our case 2 procedures were discussed...none were necessary....the good personality doesn't make up for the lack of sensitivity or the total absence of follow-up.
