Dr. Judith Lynn Gorelick, MD

Not what I'd hoped I had an appointment with Dr. Gorelick for a minor issue (an old spinal fracture that actually was detected on a CT chest scan). While it seems like she knows her stuff, and maybe she was having a rushed day, her manner was brusque and felt dismissive. I know doctors are under a lot of pressure these days and often overbooked with patients. I left feeling like I got the info I was looking for (which is good), but her lack of listening skills/humanity made the experience itself a disappointing one. October 10, 2023

Dr Gorelick was referred to me by my pain management doctor. He was out of ideas on how to help me so he sent me to her and I'm extremely grateful for her honesty, openness, and most of all caring about my health! I've never met a neural or ortho surgeon that did not want to operate but she is the first to say no to a procedure that may or may not help me? That's extremely refreshing and I think her from the bottom of my heart for not taking a chance of making the problem worse? She is very very honest and open as I stated and she will tell without hesitation whether or not surgery it's an option? Whether or not to treat the current condition and suggesting other avenues that may have been overlooked in the past? So if you're looking for a neurosurgeon that just wants to operate because they love to operate but actually cares about your well-being, Dr G is the one to go see? Dr. Gorelick went way above and beyond with my back surgery. I'm 68 and had a blown disc on my sciatic nerve. She took care of that and cleaned up arthritis on my spine. I would not hesitate to have her do another surgery, if I had too. I am feeling fine now.

My chiropractor sent me for an MRI because I was having horrific pain in my right hip. I contacted Dr. Gorelick's office and had the MRI sent to her. The office got back to me within 1-2 hours and set up an appointment within a week. I had a large intradural tumor and required surgery. Dr. Gorelick was attentive, asked appropriate questions, gave reassurance and was incredibly respectful, knowing that I was a nurse. My surgery went well, she was able to remove the tumor and I have absolutely no pain. I am incredibly grateful for the care I received. I'd recommend her to anyone in need of a neurosurgeon

Judy did a fabulous job on my back my neck I’ve had two surgeries by her I have a spinal fusion with eight screws bolts a cage and in four months I was riding my motorcycle I would never go to anyone else I live in Georgia now and I would go back to Connecticut if I needed surgery again she’s a highly rated doctor

Straight forward and compassionate. Asks questions and also does not rush the appointment. Excellent explanations which a layman can understand. Always showed all test results and explained them. Operated on my brain and prepared me prior to surgery. Exceptional surgeon..

In Oct 2016 I had a laminectomy and fusion of my T10-11. I spend 3 days in Griffin Hospital. I was very happy with my surgical and hospital experiences. The surgery was to correct a worsening issue I was having with my right leg. I would highly recommend Dr. Gorelick.
