Checked office hours, drove to the office , only to be told the doctor was finishing with other patients, and I would have to come back at another time. Came back an hour earlier the second time, was told the doctor office wasn't accepting walk-ins after 10:00 on Fridays. They turned me away again. Called for an appointment, was told the office had booked their limit of appointments, and I would have to come as a walk-in between 8 and 10. Saw the doctor, was chewed out for coming in as a walk-in for a physical. Was told to make an appointment for a physical. Made the appointment before leaving the office. The office called to cancel the appointment. They don't do physicals on Fridays or Mondays. If there is anything serious wrong with me, I may never get past their schedule to find out.
I've been going to her for about ten years. She tells you her findings and offers advice, but isn't pushy. She actually listens when you talk to her a ...
This physician injected out daughter with lidocaine against our explicit instructions. Our daughter can't metabolize lidocaine and we told her this fact. She injected her anyway and we had to call 911.
My insurance changed and unfortunately I had to start all over again with a physician that had no clue about my multiple diagnosise. I brought her a copy from my prior, excellent and well missed, physician that knew me and took very good care of me. Dr. Mayor-Davies was ok at the first visit, but when I requested a letter from her, she refused. I' m sorry....but it wasn't like I was requesting something out of the ordinary! A simple letter so I could park closer to the university due to my increased difficulty of painful OA in my joints. WOW! Just goes to show you that when a new doctor does not understand your history, their simple compassion goes out the window! My insurance is allowing me to return to my GLORIOUS physician that I had before and I am Deliriously Happy and hopefully NEVER have to change again! What a Nightmare!!
Dr Mayor-Davies is a very knowledgeable compassionate doctor. She does not sugar coat what she has to say. She tells you what you need to know and what you need to do but has a compassionate way of doing it. She listens to you and answers your questions so you can understand what she is telling you.
Most horrible medical treatment I ever received. Dr. Judy Mayor-Davies misdiagnosed my condition therefore causing enormous pain and suffering and $ expense to me and my insurance company. This NEVER should have happened--she doesn't even know how to read a lab result. On top of that, her staff are rude and abrupt. Please don't abuse yourself by going to see Dr. Mayor-Davies.
Great bedside manner, correct diagnosis, and friendly staff.
Dr. Mayor-Davies is a very caring person. She doesn't make you feel rushed when it's your turn to see her. She listens to what my questions and concerns are and does her best to respond to them.
Highly competent. Intelligent diagnosis. Busy, but spends ample when she gets to you.
I can easily sum up my experience over the last six years with Dr. Mayor-Davies as my general practitioner. Excellent. She has been right on the mark on every diagnosis and course of treatment. I can highly recommend her to you.
I recently had to bring my 5 month old and my 7yr old to see Dr Mayor Davies because my pediatrician couldn't see them and referred me over.My children were diagnosed with respiratory illness were given breathing treatments in the office by there kind loving staff who stayed late to help me clean up as my daughter had gotten sick all over me. They wete kind patient compassionate and answered all of my concerns and even called the next day to ask how my children were feeling. We received excellent care and i highly recommend her. Thanks again to Dr.Mayor Davies and her staff.
I went to Dr. Davies last year for a second opinion, and she saved me from taking unnecessary medication. This year, I called for a next day appointment and none was available. The office manager called me back about 10 minutes after I hung up and suggested I come on in right then because they werenât busy at that time! I had no transportation so had to decline. Having transportation the next day, I went in the morning as a walk in. I was in and out in less than an hour because this office doesnât have patients stacked on top of each other to see the Dr. I have worked as the receptionist in a Dr. office in the past and know that the Dr. will sometimes over book to cover for potential no shows. That makes the schedule get behind, frustrated patients and staff! I have never seen that here. Each room I was in was clean, with no odor, including the bathroom. I highly recommend this office to everyone.
Doctor Davies was very kind and listened to all my concerns. She addressed them one at a time, so I wasn't over loaded. If needed she referred me to another doctor. I thank Dr Davies for such great mental and physical care she has given me.
Dr. Davies is an excellent doctor. She takes time with me and her other patients this may cause a longer wait but that is good. I rather stay a little longer and know I am getting a complete exam
mis-diagnose me twice, had me on wrong medications which made a problem worse, never looked into my issues or gave me the time of day to explain and get answers. I questioned medications she put me on and she couldn't give me an answer why she was putting me on them, her office staff is the rudest I've ever met. She always refers you to another doctor and won't even discuss the issue once she gives you a paper to go to another doctor. I think once she gets your money, she's done. My new PCP immeadiately removed me from the medications and confimed I was misdiagnosed and I have lifelong conditions that were intensified by her. I highly DO NOT recommend this doctor.
Dr Mayor-Davies is an excellent doctor and very knowledgeable in all aspects of practice. I refer other patients to her for her excellent care.
Dr is very direct which I really appreciate because its open honest communication and this merrits trust. She encourages improvement and patient proactiveness and tells you what she expects from you and what you should expect as well. Thank you Dr Mayor-Davies.
This "doctor" misdiagnosed a serious condition I have and argued with me when I got a second opinion and had them send the results to her. She continues to misdiagnose me and putting me on the back burner. She doesn't answer my questions and gave my mother attitude when she was concerned about my condition and had questions as well. She does not dress professional or act professional. They left me in the appointment room for over an hour with no awknowledgement even when I stuck my head out to see if they forgot about me. She is not doing anything to help me and the only way I find out what tests she does and says is my condition is from information imported from my insurance company, she has 3 conditions that were NEVER discussed with me. DO NOT GO TO HER!
No time to go over all symptoms and come to a correct diagnosis. You pay to have her write prescriptions and maybe send you off to another doctor to figure out the problem after you pay her. After a year, still no diagnosis and suffering from symptoms. She's over scheduled and trying to keep up and has a staff that ignores ALL prescription requests requiring a phone call from patient. I've seen the fax machine filled with pharmacies with requests for refills ignored by staff. Sorry to give such a negative review as she is a nice person, but the patients needs come last. I'm dying and she's not there.
When I first became a patient of hers, I found Dr. Mayor-Davies to be very knowledgeable and friendly. Several years have passed, and regarding one of my medical conditions, Doc told me that changing my antidepressant (we've tried a total of 3 by this time with very limited sucess) was "beyond her real of knowledge". I never thought I'd hear my Dr. say any such thing, especially not this one. That doesn't help my depression at all, not only is my current medication not working, now my Dr. doesn't care to try something else? Forgive me, Doc, I have to find someone to help me if you will not.
My opinion is she is thorough and knowledgable. A very caring person with excellent follow-up care. She has been my PCP for 5 years now and I would not change that for any reason. Co-ordinates well with my specialists. I can easily discuss any concern I have with her and she listens and answers my questions so I can understand.
