Juhyun Ha, MD

Both my mother and my brother are patient's of Dr Ha. They have said she is warm, caring, and thorough when she sees them.I want to speak about my observations regarding my brother. He is 5' 11" and wieghts 160#s, he has mild to moderate scoliosis. In the past 2 years I have noticed muscle waisting in his left leg. He had been having pain in his back and Rt hip for years and walked with a limp. While he lived in Atlanta he told his PCP there about these symptoms and was instructed to get more exercise. He came back to Chicago and recieved a special "Executive Physical" provided by the company he worked for at the time at the University of Chicago Hospitals. When he told them about his pain, he was given instructions for exercises, an eating plan, and stress reduction plan. No one ever took Xrays! He decided he needed a PCP since he was relocated back to Chicago, and since our mother had been seeing Dr Ha, he decided to see her too. When he spoke to her about his symptoms, she gave him a thorough physical and asked him to walk for her. At the end of this exam, she said she needed him to have Xrays of his back and hips. When the Xrays came back it showed his Rt hip joint was completely frozen! There was no movement in the joint at all. She immediately helped him arrange for a referral to an Orthopedic surgeon of his choice, and was instrumental in assisting with glitches that arose regarding the surgeon obtaining his medical records. He had the surgery, and is now able to work on building up the muscles in his Rt leg and walk without pain! Dr Ha was the only physical who had the foresite to get Xrays so she could accurately diagnose my brother's condition and take the action needed to improve his qaulity of life!!
