This was my first visit with Dr. LeBlanc. I felt comfortable with her and she took time to review my issues without feeling rushed.

Dr. LeBlanc was extremely thorough and interested in my concerns, she reviewed my past tests and discussed her interpretation of the results before ordering an ultrasound to assess my current symptoms.

Doctor was very professional, patient and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to see her again.

This was my first experience with anesthesia, and I was terrified of being rendered helpless in a room full of strangers. As if dreading this procedure (an endoscopy) for three weeks wasn't bad enough, I had to wait an extra 90 minutes for the procedure itself. The doctors and nurses saw how scared I was, but kept telling me to take deep breaths. Thanks a lot. By the time I FINALLY made it to the procedure room, I had a full-blown panic attack. The next thing I know, I'm jolting awake in the recovery room, disoriented and terrified out of my mind. I remember crying and ripping tubes and wires off - then I tried to rip out the IV. The nurses held me down, while it was removed. Nothing made sense. I didn't know what day it was or why I was there, I just wanted to run away. For the next two weeks, I couldn't swallow solid food, because of the biopsy that was taken. So much pain.... Getting answers from the office was a laugh. They were so disorganized. I don't know where… these people were trained, but they obviously don't know how to treat anxious patients... or maybe they just don't care. They're so desensitized to it all. We're just bodies on their assembly line, after all. This horrific experience was four months ago, but I STILL have nightmares about running away from doctors who want to operate on me. Will it ever stop???

My endoscopy was four months ago. I STILL have medical nightmares. Why can't doctors and nurses understand that we aren't just bodies on an assembly line?? Why do they dismiss our fear, or think it isn't real??? I will NEVER let this doctor or her staff touch me again, nor will I EVER consent to be a patient at Methodist Hospitals. I value my safety and sanity, even if they don't.
