Who is Dr. Baker? He is professional, skilled, patient and kind. Dr. Baker listened patiently while I described my concerns and fears and addressed every one thoroughly (I had a lot). His compassionate bedside manner made me feel as if I was his most important patient of the day at every visit. It is rare to find a gentle male doctor who understands the discomfort a woman goes through when dealing with sensitive health issues. My surgery was a complete success thanks to Dr. Baker and his top notch team of nurses. I suffered every emotion after my initial diagnosis and wondered just who I was being referred to. Would I like him? Would he understand me? Could I trust him with my life? My advice to whoever is reading this and who may be about to start their own journey with Dr. Baker: Do not be afraid. Relax. You are in the BEST of hands.

Completely disagree with the previous post. I was treated by Dr. Baker for Melanoma 3B when he was practicing in Maine. It was a difficult diagnosis but two years later no recurrence and I attribute that directly to Dr. Baker. His skill as a surgeon coupled with his invaluable knowledge and advice is the reason I am still here today. He spent a great amount of time explaining my situation and options to me allowing me to make the decisions which were right for me. He is an amazing, compassionate, skilled surgeon. Anyone would be fortunate to be under his care. He is truly the best.

I was not impressed with Dr. Baker's lack of compassion and quick recommendation to have surgery without a discussion of test findings! He seemed too quick to recommend surgery for a benign breast condition and could not adequately answer my questions!
