He seems to be a very good doctor, however he does not take the time to get to know you, nor does he seem to care about your thoughts or feelings. Its basically a sit down, pull up your shirt, and get out appointment. Even for my 25th week ultrasound to see the sex of the baby, it lasted approximately 2 minutes, and i was out. Didn't find out the sex, didn't hear the heart beat, very technical, and did not take the time to break anything down for me. In the process of switching doctors.

- doesnt spend enough time with patients. I am a nursing student and like to ask him questions, but he never answers them. He wont even call a patient right away when your lab results require immediate attention.

i just recently started seeing dr. ubesie. he does seem to get u and out, however, id prefer to build a relationship with my doctor instead of feeling like just another chart. he reviewed my lab work with me and treated whatever was wrong. the staff were nice young women and they seemed to do majority of work (like most doctors offices). i dont have many complaints, i just wish he was a bit more talkative and we had a relationship as i stated. ill be delivering soon, so we shall see how things progress!

He didn't even introduce himself. He just told me to get on the table and take off my clothes so that he could, "take a look at me". He only accepted me because I signed a consent form and waiver for a Cesarean birth. When I asked him to please tell me what he was doing or explain the procedure before he did anything to me, he got offened and told me that he was not going to be my doctor.

For another Dr. in the same Building in Memorial Herman, Dr Ubesie would have ruined my life.My Baby is now 9 years old and i thank. I recommend not to see Dr. Ubesie for any pressing medical issues. For a cold, Flu? yes.

I would NOT RECOMMEND this doctor at all. I considered reporting him to the hospital administration and filing a malpractice lawsuit against him for thoughtless and haphazard treatment that resulted in avoidable preterm labor, premature delivery, and subsequent death of my baby. (I did contact a law firm, but was talked out of filing. I was cautioned against prolonging my depression where no comparable outcome was possible.) The office manager (his wife) lacks the healthcare, legal, and service-oriented knowledge to work with patients and their confidential information. The only compliment I could give is the ease in securing an appointment. Perhaps the goal is to get them in and get them out so as to meet a bottom line rather than render sound medical care.

Do not see this doctor for treatment of endometriosis. He told me I should just get pregnant (I was 20 years old, unmarried and a full time student working at a coffee shop) and when I went to him for help after I started having constant migraines with nausea and vomiting (the link between endometriosis and migraines is well known by most OB/GYNs) he told me he thought I just had anorexia and should see I psychiatrist because I'd lost 12 pounds in two weeks. Thanks for telling me it was all in my head.

Doctor's Response

When a patient presents to our practice, vital signs and tests( e.g. pregnancy test) are done. The doctor obtains the complete history and performs the necessary physical examination and labs. A most probable diagnosis may, sometimes, be given to the patient with the list of other possible diagnoses. Recommendations, options for further investigations and treatment(s) are then reviewed with the patient. The plan of care is then arrived at with the patient's consent and understanding. Endometriosis can sometimes be suspected based on symptoms of pelvic pain and physical examination done in the doctor's office. However, the only accurate way of diagnosing endometriosis is at the time of surgery, either by opening the belly with large-incision laparotomy or small-incision laparoscopy. Biopsy of the endometriosis implant(s) is also necessary to definitely confirm the diagnosis. Obviously, this was the first office visit for this patient and she did not provide any previous medical records. Endometriosis could not have been definitely diagnosed to the point of giving her directives for treatment. She may have received an overview of the ways that endometriosis can be managed, together with her other symptoms and she misunderstood them to be directives for treatment. This patient needed a closer review of her records from other doctors that she had seen in the past and it is hoped that she has now gotten the recommended evaluation of her symptoms, namely pelvic pain, constant migraines and significant weight loss. Based on the patient's history and symptoms, above, endometriosis may have been suspected together with other conditions that include disorders of chemical imbalance, pelvic inflammatory disease and depressive disorders. This single office visit, without prior records and more testing, could not have been enough to definitely diagnose endometriosis and formulate definite treatment plans for this patient. We welcome all patients to visit our office for their care and discuss any issues that they may have. We always strive to take the best care of our patients.

Rude office manager and staff, being that it privately owned the wife is the manager which know absolutely nothing about what she is doing. Beware, and get ready to have your blood pressure raised going there. You will more than likely be needing a Cardiologist when you leave. The staff and office manager need to take some classes on customer service and insurance billing other than medicaid.
