Dr. Karen Cora Mitchell, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Mitchells for about eight years, plus or minus two. In this process, I have had three different types of skin cancer tumors that have needed to be surgically removed in addition to treatment for a significant amount of Sun damage on my hands and arms. She has been GREAT working with me explaining what the issues were what my treatment options were and pluses and minus to all of it. She is really nice and is straight forward.

I made an appointment for a skin cancer screening to discuss several moles and ensure there was nothing suspicious that required biopsy. I also wanted to discuss potential cosmetic removal if need be. My appointment with Dr. Mitchell was unfortunately not helpful in the slightest, and was quite honestly a waste of time/money. She barely looked at half the moles on my body. There were ones under my hairline, under my arms/legs, etc. that she completely overlooked. I attempted to talk to her about possible removal or biopsy and the conversation just went in circles. She made up prices and changed her mind throughout the conversation, it was a little bizarre. I truthfully didn't feel comfortable having any procedure completed by her. I will be seeing another dermatologist at another practice for a second opinion since she really didn't do anything during my visit. I wish I had seen her poor online reviews before scheduling my appointment.

After positive experiences with other doctors at other Kuchnir locations, I came to see Dr Mitchell in Marlborough. Unfortunately, I was 15 minutes late because I have a little baby. I was turned away. Told to go home. With my baby. There was no on in the waiting room, I wasn't given an option to wait to see her, and I was never informed of this harsh late policy.

Horrible and very rude and rushed me out. I had a list of topics and she said she could only cover one and I would need to come back next week pay a new co pay of 40 dollars. I was a new patient. Looked down on me. Felt like she just didn't care and did not want to be there. Wait was over an hour. Horrible doctor that does not care.
