Dr. Karen W. Corvin, MD

I was scheduled for a hysterectomy with DR. KAREN CORVIN OF BLUE RIDGE OBGYN and during the procedure, she punctured my inferior vena cava, caused a hematoma, respiratory failure, a drop in blood pressure, the right side of my heart stopped functioning, I DIED, and I had to be resuscitated. After Dr Corvin punctured my inferior vena cava, the hysterectomy immediately turned into lifesaving surgery. I DIED during surgery because of Dr. Corvin's error, the hysterectomy could not be performed and I was hospitalized for 10 days. I wish I could give 0 stars.

After I moved from LI, New York, Dr. Corvin was the very first doctor I made an appointment with in NC. Although it is always hard to feel comfortable with someone new, it was easy with her. She is caring and spends as much time listening to you as you need. I am so glad I found Dr. Corvin and will continue to see her as my trusted gyn doctor. She is very thorough and if she has any doubts concerning your condition she will make sure a solution can be found using all her resources.

I've had a few GYN's, and she is by far the best. She listens and genuinely seems to care. I have had a rather difficult time with a pretty scary and hard to cure infection, but she has stuck by me and continued to do research to find what's right for me. I understand that doctors won't always be able to fix you immediately, especially with a difficult condition, but I can tell she's in this for the long run and cares about my health. I have always been able to get into an appointment the same day, and it is worth it to wait. She cares about my pain, and follows up. I had some hesitation when I saw some negative reviews, but I would recommend her to anyone. She's extremely knowledgeable but willing to reach out to other colleges when needed. You might have to wait for a while, or be in the office for a little bit longer, but I think her attentiveness is worth it. I am way more than just a number there, and the office staff and nurses are always nice as well and willing to work with… you to schedule appointments.

Dr. Corvin was one of the first Dr's I went to see when I moved to NC from NY. It is often hard to be comfortable with a new GYN when you had one in another area for many years. It didn't take much time at all to feel relaxed and able to talk to her. She answered all my questions and spent a good amount of time with me. I am glad I found her and the fine staff at the office.

I have been a patitenc of this Dr. for more then 10 yrs. Wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.I trust her & her advice. Sr Corvin is a great lister. Mostly she is caring.

I've been seeing Dr. Corvin for the last ten years for my routine gynocological visits and have been very pleased both with the doctor and her staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Corvin. In fact, when my mother moved here a few years ago I recommneded Dr. Corvin to her and she's been going to that practice since.

I truly hope she is not on duty when I go to deliver my baby. This doctor is condescending and uncaring. She cares more about being right and getting her opinion out than she does in actually listening to a patient. If i had met her earlier in my pregnancy, I would have changed practices. This is a shame, because the other doctors in this practice are kind and professional.
