Dr. Winn is fine with her grading. She is not the issue. Unfortunately she is bogged down by a group of unintelligent and inept staff. This encommasses the front, back, and her nurse. This Dr. would do well to revamp her office and sit down and hand pick a good group of people who care about their job and the Doctors patients.
Incompatent office staff, and medical records.
I was SO unhappy with the endocrinologists in my area that I have been driving to the next town to see Dr. Winn for the past four years. And, since she opened her own office, the response of her staff has been superb; easy to get an appointment, no waiting in the office, and speedy help for prescriptions, etc. She is an excellent doctor with a caring, supportive bedside manner.
Although I have been seeing Dr Winn for about 10 years, and I think she is wonderful in every way you would want from a doc, when she was at primecare, I had problems with everything...especially patientfollow up. Since she moved to her new practice, I have been 'relieved' that things have improved dramatically. Her staff is professional, follow up is good and as always her care is excellent.
Dr Winn is the best. I have been going to her for 20 yrs. I'm just guessing she left Blanco Cir because of politics. That is now a big business, not focused on the individual. She has her new practice on So Main. I'm happy to go there now.
Not sure what happened but she left her practice at Blanco Circle. Had an appointment for a follow-up and had expected some information on a few medical problems. I knew she was leaving but her staff said they would be there that last day. When I arrived I was told her whole office had called in sick. I was left without a doctor but as luck would have it I picked a different doctor that day.Still do not know why she left or why she broke her word to patients.
I have been seeing Dr Winn for over 20 years and I have never felt like she was in a hurry to get me out and the next patient in. She has a great bedside manner. I don't feel intimidated by her, I feel comfortable. She is very thorough with everything!
