I let this doctor know I was having symptoms and discomfort that was not normal for me. She rudely interrupted me, insisted nothing was wrong. I had to find another doctor who figured out the problem and prescribed the proper medication.
of all the visits I have had with doctors. she gave me the quicken yearly physicial I have ever had. The cost she charged she could have at least notify me about results.
Staff with the exception of one nurse by the name Gail is rude. Dr. Stephens talk really loud so whatever she is discussing with her patient is no longer confidential. Dr. Stephens lacks empathy and treat you as if you are just a patient she will receive income for. I have never felt so disturbed by a medical professional until I visit this Dr. Office. I understand that she is not a therapist andor a counselor, but I am sure being empathetic was emphasized when she was pursuing her medical career. She is very cut and dry. Very very very very rude.
My visit to this office was an absolute nightmare. I showed up fifteen minutes early to my appointment and still waited an hour. While waiting, I overheard the nurses and receptionist gossiping about other people in the building. At one point a man walked in. I think he worked somewhere close by. But the entire staff swarmed him and began flirting with him. I have never in my entire life seen grown professional women reduced to giggling school girls the way these women were. When I finally got called back the nurse was loud and obnoxious. She took minimal information before going back to the front desk to gossip. I waited another fifteen minutes before Dr. Stephens came in.Dr. Stephens was perhaps the rudest person I`ve ever met. She rushed through the pelvic exam and scolded me for not knowing what a pap smear felt like. She was very rough. When I told her that I was nervous about the pap smear, she replied, \"its not like bigger things havent been down there.\" This really upset me because she had not yet taken a sexual history so she was obviously just making assumptions. After the pap smear, I got very emotional because we were discussing possible illnesses. I began to cry and was told to \"save my hysterics\" for another time. I tried to ask questions, but Dr. Stephens practically rushed me out the door. When she did bother to answer, she was incredibly condescending, often rolling her eyes and talking to me like a child.
when i moved here from NYC, i asked around for a good GYN, many women mentioned Laurel, that was 8 years ago and i'm still with them. The staff is dedicated, friendly and well trained. Dr. Stephens takes her time with you, she doesn't rush thru her exams,
Right after I found out I was pregnant I was rushed to the hospital with complications. After I was released Dr. Stephens did not feel it necessary to see me. I even wrote her a letter describing how disappointed I was in the handling of the situation
First time reviewer here, but wanted to share my experience because it can be hard to find a good doctor in Charlotte. I've been a patient of Laurel Ob/Gyn for many years but only recently began seeing Dr. Stephens. Until now, I had only seen her PA a
Dr. Kathryn Stephens is a doctor for you if you want someone who care about you, who can correctly diagnose your conditions, and can help you through any difficult time with compassion and humor. Ten years ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis and uteri
