Dr. Kavitha Thukkaram, MD

MY wife and I have been seeing Dr.Thukkaram for some time. She is an amazing doctor, very caring, compassionate & unmistakably knowledgeable. I saw many PCPs in the past but none of them comes close to Dr.Thukkaram's expertise & her vast le!knowledge. From the very first interaction, her professionalism was evident- she was punctual, respectful and took the time to ensure every aspect of my care was handled with-thorough attention . Even though she specialises in internal medicine, she is pretty good in other specialised areas. What stood most her genuine compassion & caring approach! Dr. Thukkaram’s vast knowledge & clear communication gave me great confidence in her care. Few months back I was suffering from severe anxiety and on the brink of going into deep depression. Instead of seeing a psychiatrist, I approached Dr. Thukkaram and she listened carefully to my problems, showed real empathy and made me feel comfortable & supported throughout my treatment..Today I am almost out… of anxiety! It is rare to find a doctor who combines such warmth with outstanding expertise! I am sincerely grateful to her and will never forget her contributions! She has a charming personality and I feel good every time I see her! My wife and I are fortunate to have been under her care and would highly recommend Dr. Thukkaram to anyone seeking not just a highly skilled professional, but a compassionate & trustworthy physician as well. Her office staff are equally very professional and caring!

She is a horrible doctor. She doesn't care about helping patients only the money that she gets from them. Don't let her take care of your family, especially if they are older and can't speak up for themselves!

I have been a patient for more than 10 years. My entire family including my teenagers are now seeing her. The office is always very helpful. I have never had a problem getting a same day appointment when I needed it. I usualy wait no more than 15 minutes. Doctor is very thorough and experienced. She does not refer to others unnecessarily and does not prescribe antibiotics unless absolutely needed. I highly recommend Dr Thukkaram.

There is no way these are real reviews, or if they are they must be requested by her on patients that she know will say something positive because she is one of the worst. Everything is about money - they push “yearly checkups” that is linked to a cost and totally unnecessary because it basically just checks vitals that any normal doctor would check. They tried to charge a “no show fee” to an appointment that was never made claiming that it was. I take the same medications every day and I’ve been to many doctors before that have given me enough refills where she makes you come in and literally do nothing different and basically asks you if you still need them (she won’t refill them unless you stop in because she gets paid per visit obviously and even if she does nothing in that visit, she requires you to come). I went in and asked two questions regarding my health and when I went to ask the third she literally said “no that’s not how this work, you need to make multiple… appointments for different issues” and didn’t answer my question. Absolutely no bedside manner. Of course everyone needs to make their money etc but at least care for your patients and don’t make it seem like a business transaction only. Learn how to speak to people politely.

I have been a patient of Dr Thukkaram fo the last 8 years. She also takes care of my mother and husband. We appreciate everything she has done for us. She helped my husband lose 40 lbs and he has now stopped taking his diabetes medications! She also took care of my father when he was in Hospice and was with us through the whole process. We all highly recommend her to everyone who is looking for a doctor who cares about patients' well being rather than just treat them

I have been a patient of Dr Thukkaram since 2011 and have never been disappointed with her care or the office staff. I like that she advises healthy lifestyle choices rather than just medications for my diabetes. I have cut back on my diabetes drugs by losing weight with her advice. She takes the time to figure out the underlying issues rather than just prescribing medicines.

I have been under Dr T's care for over 8 years. She is patient, knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to be certain the treatment or medication she is prescribing is the best option She also uses a commodity that is in short supply these days 'COMMON SENSE'. Her staff is terrific. They are professional, caring, friendly and organized. All in all I would recommend Dr T and staff to any one looking for the BEST. And isn't that what we all want.
