I absolutley love Dr Burns. I went to her for years, and never once did I leave feeling bad about something. The front desk is another thing.. But it was worth it seeing her. I went back in april of 2011 and they told me she no longer worked there. (I had moved away for a few years) Does anyone know where she is located? Megk48@gmail.com
My family has been seeing Dr Burns since 2004 and we love her to death. The front desk help is a little iffy at times, but Im not there to see them. Im there to see Dr Burns and get medical treatment. We moved about 30 miles away from the clinic in Angier and still make the trek out to see her when anyone in the family has a medical problem.
Sent the following email to "Dr." Burns and NEVER received any reply. From: Now an EX-patientSent: Wednesday, April 14, 2010 8:39 AMTo: 'email@example.com'Dr. Burns,First impressions, you know the old saying, right? The first time I walked into your office and saw the sign on the tv do NOT change channel, the sign on the front desk window visits without insurance MUST be paid in full prior to seeing the dr, to the recording on your answering machine do NOT page this phone. And, if I recall correctly, even the paperwork I filled out when I became a patient there said something to the effect that if I had an appt that I could not make I would have to pay for it anyway if I didnt give a certain amount of notice. Also, I believe I recall seeing either a paper or a sign in your office that says patients that are more than 15 minutes late for an appt will have to reschedule. Visit before last, I had an appt and was the last patient to be seen because patients in front of me without appts were seen first. As a consolation for having to wait I suppose, I wasnt charged the full price. Little consolation considering I was on time as I should have been and had to miss time from work for which I was not getting paid. My time may not be deemed as valuable as yours as I cannot bill insurance for it but it does however pay my bills some of which have come from your office. I have to say I never really got a welcoming caring feeling forget warm and fuzzy.Last visit, I came by to pay a bill. I walked up to the window and was totally ignored. I realized I had left the insurance paper in the car so I went out to get it and returned to again be ignored. When I went to take a seat, the girl at the window opened it to offer her help. When I told her I was there to pay a bill she asked if I had an appt.really???? To pay a bill??? I had even written that on the sign in sheet which she didnt bother to check. When she pulled up my account she had a different figure than I did. I tried to tell her it was not correct because it was coded wrong but she got all huffy and said thats what she saw and thats all she could do. She didnt even try to look at the paperwork I had. I asked to speak with someone else because she obviously had an attitude from the time I came in and was ignored. She tried to tell me that it was because she was coding a patients chart and couldnt be interrupted. Ironic since I was there to straighten out a billing that was coded wrong in the first place. One other point I need to mention. I have been contacted by the lab that processes your bloodwork requests. They have advised that your office refuses to send them my insurance information. I dont understand this unless it is because your office will not receive any of the payment so they dont want to be bothered?
My wife and I are former patients who left because of the habitual rudeness of some of the staff. Totally unacceptable behavior for medical personnel. Expect arguments from and with the staff if anything goes wrong. Turnaround time on prescription refills is also unacceptable. Dr. Burns herself is the only bright spot, unfortunately her staff is driving away existing patients. We changed to Harvard Med in Fuquay and are happy there.
I had severe issues with my period - it didn't stop for months. I went to several doctors, incl. a large hospital and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I moved and needed a new doctor. So I ended up going to Dr. Burns. It took her one visit to come up with a diagnosis (which was confirmed via ultrasound later on). I am glad I went to see her and will not go elsewhere.
Dr Burns is great! They accept walk ins and can see you with little wait time. She is very knowledgeable!
Dr.Burns was a true lifesaver! I woke up with a horrible head cold couldn`t get in to see my regular primary care physician so I started to ...
It is sad that when you live in the country this is the best we can do for medical care. I wonder if they are now teaching Doctor's to insult patients instead of showing compassion and listening to their concerns. If we polled 10 liscenced personell in th
DR. BURNS IS A VERY CARING DOCTOR. SHE IS ALWAYS GLAD TO HELP ME WITH ANYTHING THAT I NEED AND SHE IS MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN. I WOULD TRUST HER WITH ANYTHING THAT COMES UP WITH ME BECAUSE SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND IF I AM NEEDED TO BE SENT TO A SPECIALIST, SHE HAS NO PROBLEM DOING THAT... SHE IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ANGIER AND I HOPE THAT SHE STAYS HERE FOREVER...
She has a country doctor attitude and when you ask a question she becomes offended. She doesn't listen and jumps to conclusions as does her staff. Her staff is rude and lazy.
Doctor Burns (Doc) is a rare individual in a field of full of doc in the boxes! This is my first and probably only review at this site - while looking for the office fax number I came across the last two reviews and had to defend the Doc. - Michael, Cat
Dr. Burns treated me with respect, she was very caring and took plenty of time to discuss everything with me. I really like her a lot. I will definately be back to see her.
If you see this Dr. expect to NEVER get a return call even if they say they will call you right back. Expect the Dr to be single minded and set in what SHE believes rather than entertain another method of treating you, even if you have done all the readin
They mess up prescriptions and then expect you to wait for them to fix it. I got into a verbal arguement with the entire office staff after Doctor Burns sent a completely different prescription to my pharmacy. The ladies in the office told me that I wou
