Dr. Kelley Marie Mcintyre, MD

Used to feel great about McIntyre as my PCP. Then she became part of "corporate practice" and care plummeted. She repeatedly ignored complaints of foot pain, trying to convince me it was arthritis. After THREE MONTHS I finally convinced her to refer to foot specialist who determined my foot had been broken. Required surgery. Prior to that, I had a complaint about a knot at the base of my spine. Again, I had to INSIST that she c heck it out and she reluctantly had an X-ray done. (Never mind that an X-ray would not show any soft tissue issues!!!) When the X-ray results came back her response was, and this is a direct quote: "I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT IT'S NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT." Now, it seems to me that, if the doctor can see a big splotch on an X-ray, but doesn't know what it is... it SHOULD be something to worry about! That was two strikes. I wasn't waiting for a potentially fatal third so I left her care. I did offer a letter explaining the reasons for dropping her as a… caregiver. She responded in no way shape or form. No response whatsoever. Not even a note to apologize. THAT would be STRIKE THREE! If you value your health, avoid this corporate practice at all costs. They don't care about the patient, only the money.

I was a patient of Dr. Mac for many years, starting when she was in private practice. She was a great doctor. Then she joined a group practice and the quality and attention to patients plummeted. After a bad fall, I complained of a pain in the side of my foot. While I repeatedly indicated the point of pain, she insisted it was either in the joint behind the point and then in front of the point I had indicated. She said, "Well, wait until you come back in three months and we'll see if it still hurts." IIt had already been several months and 2 office visits. I insisted on a referral to a specialist and, reluctantly, she agreed. My foot was broken and required surgery. Later, I had been complaining about a painful knot/cyst at the base of my spine. She refused to take the knot seriously. Finally, after the third or fourth visit, she reluctantly said, "Well, I guess we can take an X-ray of it if you want." YES! I was in pain. I wanted to know why. When the X-rays came back, showing the… large splotch where the cyst was, her response was almost dismissive and frightening. "I don't know what it is," she said, "but it's nothing to worry about." If you don't know what it is... how do you know if it's anything to worry about or not??? That was the last straw for me. Subsequently, I had the most horrifying experience, while sitting on a hard surface, that "nothing to worry about" apparently caused a pinched nerve at the base of my spine and I suffered short-term, total paralysis of the left side of my body - the side of the spine on which the cyst is located. The paralysis only lasted about thirty or forty minutes but the sensation of having one entire side of your body turn to stone, not knowing if or when it would diminish or go away, was terrifying and traumatic. In the "early days" I used to recommend Dr. McIntyre to people looking for a good doctor. Later, I could not, in good conscience, do so. In the end, I could only warn people away from her. She has, in the passing years, forgotten what she got into medicine for. She is no longer a doctor but merely a pharmaceutical front man. Furthermore, when I dropped her as my PCP, I left a letter to her explaining exactly WHY I was leaving for another practitioner. Never heard a word from her. If I could give her less than one star, I would. She was hazardous to my health and, if you care about yours, I would recommend you find another doctor.

Dr. McIntyre is great. Knowledgeable, explains things in a manner that makes sense. She recommends healthy practices but doesn't nag about them.

I have known many doctors in my profession and Dr. M is the best! She takes time to listen and is always dead on with her diagnosis in treatment.

Dr. McIntyer has been my physician for about a year now. I am 47 years old and she is, by far, the best MD I have had. She listens to what I have to say and is very understanding and incorperates the information I give her when making her treatment plan for me. I have been and RN for 16 years, who has worked with many doctors and I would recommend her to anyone. I am very thankful to have her as my physician.
